I ended up buying this camera as a gift for my husband and he is truly enjoying it. Love the fact that it is not bulky but delivers the best in compact cameras. WiFi to connect to phone to upload photos instantly. Takes very good photos.

The Sony a6000 is my first mirror less camera. I travel a lot and got tired of dragging a full size DSLR around with 3 lenses and other gear. The weight and size of a DSLR caused me to look for a new solution. The Sony a6000 is much lighter and more compact. My gear bag is 1/3 the size of my old DSLR gear bag . However, the proof is in the pictures and how it handles in the field. It is easy to use and the pictures are great. The ability to carry a pro style camera with ease while you sight see is a huge benefit. I even found a third party adapter in order to use two of my old Canon lenses on the Sony. I am really pleased with the purchase because of the quality photos, the ease of use, and portability.

This camera takes gorgeous pictures and does so with ease. You can go completely manual or let the camera figure out all the settings for you to create beautiful pictures. The camera is lightweight and very compact for a DSLR.

I would put more exclamation points but I don't want to just be obnoxious! This camera is nothing less than phenomenal especially with the higher quality Telephoto lens that came with the bundle. While the telephoto gives some extra range, the real magic happens in photoshop afterwards. Because of the high 24.3 megapixel sensor, we have been able to do some amazing cropping in post-production and have been extremely impressed with the results. I was able to take a photo of a squirrel at around 100 yards and found out in post-production that the little guy had a small scar across his nose--now that is high quality photography!!!! The camera is extremely user friendly. As we play around with it, we find the camera actually teaches the photographer how to use it! If you are looking for a portable, professional quality camera at an affordable price this is definitely the way to go. I can not say enough about the quality of this bundle, I highly recommend it! A few recommendations with it: 1) Get a high quality/high write speed SD card. If you plug in an SD card and after a few photos cannot do anything because it is still "Downloading pictures to SD card" it means that your card is not fast enough. After two tries, we purchased a 90mb/s read speed 80mb/s write speed SD card and it worked perfectly. 2) Get an extra battery and the external charger if you can afford it. The one downside to the camera is that because it can take photos so quickly, you can expend the battery faster than you might mean to so an extra battery is extremely helpful! Also, the charger is important so you don't have to leave your camera plugged into the wall. We have made use of this combo even at family Christmas when we had many relatives over and kept taking photos. 3) UV Filters!!!! Protect the lens, definitely a must have for the camera! They don't cost much and give you a good deal of confidence that the camera lens which you invested so much in will have better protection from getting a scratch on the glass. Again, I cannot recommend this camera enough. Happy photo shoots!

This an excellent camera for someone looking for a function of a D SLR in a smaller package. It is very easy to use and has all the same functionality as my old Sony A3 in half the size and weight. This has made it great for travel. The only drawback I see is battery life, especially when using the flash. Overall, this is a great camera.

This camera does so much more than anticipated. Because of the accuracy and speed of the autofocus, the camera is perfect for everything I'd use a point and shoot camera. Atop that, though the lenses that came with the camera take beautiful pictures, I purchased an adapter that allows me to use my Canon AE1 lenses (purchased in the 1970's), which, combined with this camera, take the cleanest, sharpest and crispest images I've ever taken. Now, I have a camera that is great for everyday pictures and professional quality portraits and landscapes. Luckily, because of the popularity of this camera, I found several free and great tutorials, on YouTube, which walk through some of the large number of menu options the camera offers. Great buy!

what a great camera, I could not believe the difference in the quality of pictures. I especially liked the lighter weight. A lot of bang for the buck with the complete bundle, even a 210mm lens included!

Camera takes great pictures and is very compact for what it can do. Glad that this model has a built in flash. The bag that is supplied is a little small to fit both lenses and the body itself. Looking forward to to future of mirror less cameras. Have read their are adapters that that will allow you to L glass.

I have not used it in enough environments to observe all of the features, but the pictures are very clear. Seems to not do well in darker environments and the focus feature is not as handy as a lot of other models. Otherwise it is a good camera.

Very convenient and portable DSLR especially for moms. Nice interchangeable lenses and picture quality is real good. My one con is that the display screen does not do a 360 swivel tand close in order to protect it from scratches and damage. I love it because it is real compact and easy to carry around.

Bought after reading professional and product reviews for months. Have been into SLR photography for a long time. Tried on a photographers paradise - Las Vegas, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona vacation, overall no negative surprises. Got excellent results using mostly automated settings since not much time to tinker with manual when using for the first time on a fast paced trip. Control via iPhone App worked perfectly living up to expectations and is a huge bonus, but even without it the camera also lived up to expectations based on experience with 750 photos and numerous videos during the trip. Might update later with results of manual tinkering...

Takes incredible photos! Take time to learn all the functions and features! 16-50mm lense is a must, takes great stills, sports, even macro level. I had wanted the A77II but it was not available. I was talked into trying this camera, and for half the price, and all the performance it was a great suggestion. Later I learned that Nat-Geo Explorer photographer's are using this same camera! Oh, and it has put my camcorder out of business, it is really two in one, not like the Canon 7100 or 7200 that I was initially going to purchase. I do wish that BEST BUY would carry more accessories for the Sony line. Battery grip, filters, lense hoods, etc...
