It took a minimal amount of time to learn how to take panoramic pictures. They turned out wonderful.

    Video use overheats the camera

Very disappointed in this camera in that it can only shoot about 20 minutes of video prior to overheating. Pre-purchase conversations led me to believe that an hour of shooting, which is what I need for work would be attainable, but it's not. Picture function is great/video, not so much. Very disappointing.

Hi Eileen, thanks for bringing this information to our attention. To avoid overheating, we suggest turning the camera off for a few minutes in between shots. Also, the camera is only capable of continuous video shooting for 29min. Thanks_Mitch Sonystyle

I have 5 Babies, they are my life. This camera is perfect for capturing my life's Adventures. Simple easy to use. Of course I had to learn how to use it and all the awesome features it delivers but way worth it. I love it.

We owned an older version of this camera and just upgraded to this one. We love it. It’s super easy to use and takes amazing photos. It would be nice if it had a more powerful zoom, but I guess you could change that by buying a more powerful lens. Have not yet tried the wireless photo retrieval, as the card we bought for it holds so many pics. I would not hesitate to purchase.

This is my first camera. I was looking for a nice starter camera and I always end up reading high reviews about the Sony a6000. It's very user-friendly and I always thought that if I want to upgrade it there are many e-mount lenses that will make the pictures look better.

I have shot with Canon DSLR cameras for years, primarily the 20D and 50D. I was looking for something that was more portable and lighter, without sacrificing a great deal. The kit lens, and the telephoto 210mm is what I would expect from a Rebel kit lens. If I stay with the Alpha line, I may eventually took for a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens that will pickup more light and focus faster. The time from power on, until it is ready to shoot is about 2.5 seconds. This is an eternity if it is an action shot. It will wake from sleep more quickly though. The autofocus speed is decent. It does a good job in low light compared to P&S cameras. I intend to give it a little more exercise with a 50mm f/1.8 and see how it compares. If you want more than a P&S, but can live without through the lens, this is a good camera.

I just started taking photography seriously and decided on an entry level mirror less and this is a great camera. Makes an amateur look like they know what they are doing. Will be sticking with Sony alpha cameras in the future.

I LOVE MY CAMERA. I take it everywhere with me. Not bulky like other DSLRs. Doesn't have as many features as I expected, but it's ok. If you're looking for something to start with, this is a great camera.

I have always been a fan of Sony products," i'd buy a Sony toaster if they made them" I have had 3 Sony cameras and they have always served me well. Its intuitive and easy to use out of the box and understanding all of the features makes it a great camera for most people.

Great camera for the enthusiast photographer. I've taken many photos with my first one before I knocked my tripod in the lake. Just bought a second one for my everyday carry camera when I don't want to pull out my D750.

Camera is very compact and have all the options as in a DSLR. But, the camera had an issue of automatically, clicking continuous shots and not actually taking any. Good that i got this issue under my return policy date-which is a major issue. Other than that, i find it very comfortable and easy as a beginner.
