Let's be real here. You're out to buy an action camera that's handheld, compact, HD, and waterproof...so then all it comes down to is a contraption with 1 big red button to record. This camera does everything a GoPro Hero 3 Silver can do at a fraction of the cost. Personally I think the Play Memories live view is faster than GoPro's version. The smoothing on the footage is also a huge plus. The only accessories you should need for a camera like this are waterproof housing, several spare batteries, and memory cards. I rating this for 4 stars due to cost efficiency, performance, compatibility.

I researched action cams and decided this one was the best deal with the most features for the price. Easy set up. Great picture quality. Very simple to use.

It's small, sleek, and more aesthetically pleasing than similar cameras. Plus, the price is very budget friendly if you aren't ready to splurge.

I use this camera so far for horse back riding. Now that I have figured out how to attach and stabilize it on my helmet, it is great! Clear video (the video was still clear even when it bounced, just a lot of movement due to the elastic of the helmet mount; definitely not the right mount for horse helmet), good sound. I am impressed. Can't wait to attach it to my motorcycle helmet once it warms up enough to ride.

I wanted a low-cost action camera. I don't do a lot of things that require an action camera, but every now and then I wish I had one. Previously, I had owned a GoPro (which was great,) but this camera has more of the features I needed than the entry-level GoPro at a similar price point. Being able to connect my phone via WiFi to use as a viewfinder is one of my primary requirements. This camera has WiFi, the entry-level GoPro doesn't. Video and still photos are great quality. For the price, I'm extremely happy.

I bought this for my motorcycle and bicycle and thus far the picture quality is great! 60fps is smooth as can be. I wish the battery life was a bit longer and I wish 1080 at 60fps wasn't so darn big. Don't save money on a memory card buy the biggest it'll take. I bought a 64gb and its big enough for me. Seems like 45 minutes of1080 60 fps video was about 7-8 gb. I find myself using it as a dash cam as well - nice Go Pro Silver alternative!

This is a good mid level camera. The images are good but not great, and downloading then transferring them is a little difficult and time consuming.

Light easy and good quality. Priced right Used it on the beach. Plugged it in computer and sync everything.

I was looking for an inexpensive alternative for a go pro, this camera was suited just fine. I have started buying accessories now so I can mount it to other things instead of just hand holding it.

The fishbowl shots and videos may not be for everyone. HOWEVER, this camera definitely captures moments like no other camera. LOVE my ACTIONCAM!

Good product, you do need to buy an SD card since it does not come with it. The case it comes with is nice and waterproof. Try not to get the lens scratched on the case or its ruined. .

We bought this on a whim and love it!! Takes great video and has excellent sound quality. It was an "open box" item but works wonderfully and was half the price of a GoPro. I recommend buying some accessories since the camera itself is small with not much to hold on to. We have recently purchased the headset, but bought a simple (Walmart) tripod to start.

Nice pics and videos 1080 HD, underwater too, very resistent.

Used camera for the first time on a recent vacation trip. Color was really good. The battery life is really short. Have to recharge to often, otherwise we like it.
