A: If you aren't messing with it while recording it sound good. While recording if you slide your finger across it, it picks that up really loudly.
Q: waterproof?
A: It's very waterproof I use it under the water for long time and it makes great under water videos. But you can also take the camera alone and use it without the waterproof box, that is why it saying that it is not waterproof because you can only use it under the water in the waterproof box. Q: can these cameras motion sensitive
A: No, The Sony AS20HD does not have a menu function for motion detection based record triggering. You can remotely Start/Stop recording using WiFi connected smartphone as video monitor with free Sony app.
Q: Would you please tell me Battery life time with working Wi-Fi?
A: About 60 mins +/- using the original Sony NP-BX1 (1240mAh) battery. Larger batteries (1800 mAh) can be found via after-market that will get you 90mins or better.
Q: Can you plug in an external microphone?
A: there is no jack for an external mike.
A: I guess you an just use the sticky one that was in the package. Though during a Go Kart session, I used the suction mount on top of the helmet. Just perfect. Much less vibrations as compared to fixing the cam on the kart itself.
