I am a little disappointed in the camera because you can not mount it on a tripod without the case and you can't use the plug in microphone feature with the case.

I was disappointed that the Sony AS20 HD did not have a tripod mount on the body of the camera, so you have to put it in the plexiglass case to use a tripod. This is compounded by the facts that the bottom of the body is half-round so it cannot sit upright, and the external microphone jack is inside the battery/memory card cover so it cannot be used with a tripod or in the plexiglass
