I replaced my old Samsung Blu-Ray player with this Sony model since the Samsung's firmware could not play some of my newer DVD's. I don't have a 4K TV so the features and price of this model worked perfectly for me. If you use the Quick Start feature, the main menu pops up really fast. The streaming apps work better than those on my Smart TV plus it can connect to my higher bandwidth 5GHz WiFi channels. This is a nice Blu-Ray player with excellent 1080p picture and sound quality.

Just in time to keep my older Vizio smart tv streaming Netflix after they changed the plans on me. Also needed ability to stream Prime on same older tv and this works like a charm!

This is our first blu-ray / smart dvd player. We were very happy to be able to stream our Amazon movies through the device. Its straightforward to hook up too. Picture looks great playing on our new UHD TV and the price was right!

Not only do Blu Ray disks look as if they are being played on a 4k DVD player - and for a lot less money - regular non-Blu Ray disks are upscaled incredibly well. Very easy to set up with my Samsung smart TV and works seamlessly.

This Sony unit is a very good buy. Excellent price, very good value, upgrade from previous blu ray dvd player. Set up is simple, half the space of previous unit. Great option if you do have dvds and do not want to scrap them.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to set up this system with barely consulting the instructions. Normally, the place where you are in the movie shows up when you hit pause but this one doesn't. I couldn't figure it out so googled it. I had a duh moment when I was told to hit DISPLAY on the remote! Being able to access Youtube and Amazon is a real plus as we couldn't do that with our previous players so that makes us happy! Having a dedicated button for SUBTITLES is handy though setting them takes some figuring out as the process is not intuitive. I guess the only thing that is not so good so far is that the green ON light is so tiny that you have to strain to see it and it really is only on when the unit is operating, other than that it is a great little machine.

Bought this based on reviews and we were not disappointed. It has all the extras which we haven't even begun to use but it is a great buy and easy to set up and use. It plays regular and blu-ray discs and is small and compact.

This a great quality bluray player as I have come to expect from Sony. It was very economicly priced and plays bluray/DVD movies very well.

Offers nice quality picture, easy to set up, remote control is not complex. It could use another HDMI port.

This player replaced a previous Blu-Ray player that had begun to not read some disks. This player saves so much space with it's size. Also like the apps that allow you to stream from other services.

Sony has always been a reliable choice for us. It is easy to use, movies look great. Easy to hook up to TV, especially since my son did it for me. I also got a good deal with a price match special price.

This was purchased to give as a Christmas gift. Was told by the recipient that it has a very nice, clear, sharp picture. It was very easy to connect to the tv along with the HDMI cables I purchased at the same time.

This Blu-ray player should satisfy all but the more demanding videophile or audiophile. Installation is reasonably simple and the remote is easy to use. Streaming from Amazon Prime is seamless.

The Sony - BDP-S6700 Streaming 4K Upscaling Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player is a good buy for non-tech viewers. Extremely easy to set up and best buy had a very competitive price for it. Highly recommend.

I purchased this blu-ray player specifically to playback a large collection of old black and white DVD movies and TV series shows. The upscaling and playback was very good on a 4K TV. The setup was very easy for WiFi and adding accounts. Fast application navigation with a wireless connection. The remote control was simple and took the normal 1 letter at a time navigation for that part of initial setup. The only surprise was the extra ads that start first before the actual main screen to select an episode and play back as this was not required on an old DVD player. would buy again or recommend to others

This is the third one of these I've bought at Best Buy, one for each of my Samsung 4K TV's, which I also bought at Best Buy. It's easy to set up and easy to use and the picture quality is excellent.
