In all honesty, I don't have anything to compare this product to because it is my first Blu-ray player. With that said... I really like it a lot. The picture quality is amazing and it even has built in 4K upscaling which (in my opinion) provides amazing picture quality even when watching DVDs. The 3D is excellent and the smart features are nice to have.

I like that it is a small lightweight unit. It was very easy to set up and the quality of the pictures of the movies played through it is amazing. I had purchased a more expensive unit and returned it the next day to buy this one after reading the reviews on it. I am very pleased with it !

This thing was so small who it would be the perfect fit for me. It came included with a Sony receiver I purchased, so I decided to give it a try. Glad I did, once it's plugged in you don't have to worry about finding the input location on your remote. Once you turn the power on it brings it on the screen, hassle free. The picture was great. Looks nice in my rack, doesn't stick out from the other components. Perfect fit for me.

Easy to use and set up! Easy to use apps! I was able to use it on my Samsung smart TV and also on my little old school flat screen TV (not a smart TV) it's literally a tiny not high tech tv as long as it has HDMI connections you are golden. I suck at setting things up and I was able to hook it up with no problem. Ps I did have to buy separate HDMI cords since it didn't come with them. Very lightweight and plays DVDs very well

With a number of choices in Blu-ray players available, my choice was Sony. Selected the 3D Wi-Fi built-in model with 4K streaming. Everything works perfectly with a connection to a 55" Sony TV. Remote is a little unusual, but it functions well after one masters the sequencing. There were no updates to this system so it was out of the box and into use in less than 10 minutes. Overall, very pleased with the results obtained.

For the price this was perfect. It may not be the best but it up-converts making DVDs look great. The price and features make this great for a starter Blu Ray Player or to finish off that theater system. With wifi, 4K, 3D, and Sony PlayStation gaming. I do not have a 3D TV yet but the 4K is amazing. Plus it has many apps from social media, music, news, and a ton more. The only complaint is the tiny remote. It is uncomfortable to hold and not very user friendly. It is so short I have dropped it many times and there is no keyboard so passwords take a long time to enter. Adding keys that light up or at least glow would have helped lot to find it and use its tiny buttons. Its like buying a luxury vehicle with plastic hubcaps. Still a great player full of features.

I've enjoyed the streaming features as much as the actual blue ray player. When I switch it on, my TV changes the source to the player automatically. When I turn it off, it goes back to Cable box. So. That's handy.

Needed to replace a pioneer blu-ray player which never worked very well. I've had great luck with Sony and I've been very pleased with this device. Easy to use, simple interface, and great picture quality. Highly recommend

We were looking for a way to connect a non-smart HDTV to Wi-Fi in order to use Netflix and other streaming devices without paying a monthly fee or having to enter a credit card number and we found that a smart Blu-ray player was the way to go. We read several reviews of smart Blu-ray players and this one topped (or came close to the top) of almost every list. It works like a charm. It provides easy access, is easy to use and provides a great picture. It also upscales any 1080p Blu-ray to Ultra HD. We got it on sale at Best Buy and it is a great product at a very reasonable price!

This blu-ray player is good, the picture quality of Blu-Ray discs as well as DVDs is really good. The triluminous technology shows its worth in good colours. It's so compact and light weight it's unbelievable. It also consumes very less energy, another plus.

I got this to replace my dead PS3; it hasn't disappointed me yet. It plays the HD audo that goes great with my new Pioneer Elite VSX-90. I love the fact that it boots up quickly. The app page is nice, although redundant with my Roku 3. Overall, it's a fast player with Wi-Fi. I don't have a 4k or 3D TV yet, but so far it's been great with my 1080 TV. I'm looking forward to really putting it through the works after buying a 4k TV. It doesn't have a display on outside of the unit; I really had to get used to that since I'm used to seeing my progress on the outside of the unit. The remote's display button quickly shows my progress on the TV. Now that I'm used to this, I'd say that the nice thing about it is that the unit doesn't distract from my movies. It's quiet and fast.

The picture quality on my TV is amazing. The speed is really fast. It does 3D and does it well. It seems to have good sound. Can't judge or compare the sound or picture to my older reference player on my theater as I've moved into an apartment. But it does everything well on a ML $2200 soundbar and subwoofer, so I'm very pleased for how little I paid for it compared to high end players.

My husband and I were looking into buying the new 4k DVD player before we knew we had to have a 4k Tv. After learning were like we will get a new tv in the future. We bought the dvd player and we love it. It's easy to set up and easy to use. The quality is awesome. The remote is small so you have to be careful not to loose it but overall one of the best dvd players we've had in a long time

My old bluray player was having major issues connecting to Netflix, so I decided it was time to upgrade. This player was really easy to set up and I have had NO problems with it! The quality is also a lot better than my old model, the picture is a lot crisper. I have no complaints and am very glad I upgraded!

I own both the base model and this one. Both are compact and deceptively simple. Both do a great job on anything you throw at them. Consider them a combo set top box and blue ray one stop shop for just about all you need. They can stream music and movies from anywhere. The list of apps is large and growing. Startup is quick. You can spend a lot more and not really improve much on this.

Great, dependable player with all the extras I need. Apps for all online services that I use and subscribe to, plus lots more! Easy to use, set up and maintain. Love the compact size!

This is an awesome DVD player. I had been wanting one for years since I have a 3D tv but never got around to it. I saw this one and was a bit skeptical because the price was so great considering all that this player included. I'm glad I purchased it. The quality is excellent. I felt like I was at the actual theater. Now me and my kids have turned Friday night into movie night.
