Perfect Sound Bar 8 for NYC Apt

Loud enough for really nice effects without having to crank up the volume. So far no complaints - not even from my neighbors! Getting a nice sound field without the separate sub-woofer which may have been too much for my building. Not sure if I missed something in the initial set up but for some reason I was not able to get the Dolby Atmos to pass through via eArc at first. It was not until I bought new HDMI to have that pass through. Which again to be fair might have been some setting issue - not sure. Easy to set up out of the box but like all nice things you need to spend a minute to dial in the features if you want to get every bit of performance out it!

All around one of the most worth purchases I’ve made at Best Buy thus far definitely outperforms the Bose ultra and Sonos arc

The lower range and bass were just right as we don’t need a strong sound from a subwoofer. This soundbar sounded better when compared to LG and Samsung.

I purchased the SW3 wireless subwoofer to help with the bass tones for Home Theater, but it did not compare to my wired sub and I was ultimately less than satisfied with the bass produced.

We’re sorry to hear the SA-SW3 didn’t provide the deep bass response you were looking for. While the SW3 is a great compact option, we recommend the SA-SW5 subwoofer for more demanding home theater setups, as its 300W output and larger 180mm driver with a passive radiator deliver significantly deeper, more cinematic bass that rivals wired alternatives. Additionally, please ensure you’ve run the "Sound Field Optimization" in the BRAVIA Connect app, which calibrates the subwoofer to your specific room acoustics for improved impact.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think the sound bar is pretty great, but when I got home and finished setting up the soundbar, I realized that the sound bar did not do a great job of handling bass and voices at the same time. When at the store I asked the sales associate if they think I would need the optional bass speaker, and they said no. After reading more reviews online, I went back to Best Buy the next day to purchase the SA-SW3 bass speaker and then recalibrated the system. Now with the bass speaker added, the soundbar sounds way better and you can even feel the bass even when it is set to a low level. I must say, I did not think that I would have issue with voices since I am using a Bravia TV with acoustic center syn.
