Sony Bravia ROCKS!!!!

My vizio sound bar with the same set up started malfunctioning after several years and it was time to replace it. It took me a week of agonizing about whether to go with another Vizio (as I was satisfied with how long it lasted and the sound), or spend more money for the Sony Bravia. Boy was I glad I did...night and day difference between what I thought was a good product in the Vizio. The sound quality - home theater type of sound is truly amazing and I am soooo glad I bit the bullet and spent the extra money on this system. Watching college and pro football, movies, and our favorite series on our streaming services is so AWESOME now.

Sony Bravia Theater 6 System

I bought this for my father who is hearing challenged but not completely dead. The Bravia app allows you to tune the voice feature based on distance and hearing deficiency. At a thousand watts it produces enough sound for medium to large sized rooms. For my dad it is the first time he can understand dialogue without turning the volume up past 50%. At the time of purchase it was $200 off making it at the very least half the price of comparable systems.

A Real Experience Change

Always used cheap knockoff brands. Then I went and bought this Sony set with my new 98inch TV. My life is renewed. I'm no longer in the dark. The experience has been world changing and I feel like I can for the first time since birth. Thank you Sony.

Great system for the price

Sounds amazing in my small living room especially for the price. Only negative I have is it doesn't automatically switch between Dolby and what Sony calls "vertical surround engine". So watching things without Dolby like Netflix previews in the menu and others you have to manually switch it in the app.

TERRIFIC (and simple!) Surround-Sound Solution!

After a recent move from CA to NY, I didn't want to "relo" my entire surround-sound system from CA... including 4 ceiling-mounted speakers, a sound bar and a subwoofer -- along with a Yamaha amplifier. Very good surround sound system for the money

This system is a lot better. My wife sometimes thinks someone is at the door. She was watching a show and she said that the person's voice was coming from the front and the background noise was to the rear. I'm happy.

Simple system with a strong punch!

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical about this system and I saw that there was only one review about it and it said it was a great system, so i went back to bestbug since i had been there earlier but left because got overwhelmed by some of their staff directing me to a true wired system that would cost me about 2k anyways so i went to check it out and the sony guy that was there didn't recommend me the system and was also trying to sell me a higher price system but i told him no that i wanted to stay in my budget so i bought it, hooked up and i was amazed on how much bass this system has and the sound is clear and loud and it can get louder by changing a setting through their app. I love the system and im very pleased, this is my first Sony product I have ever purchased im a LG fan but LG didn't have a system that sounded this good within my budget. I definitely recommend this system.

I always trip out when I hear noise coming from the rear speakers because it always sounds like the conversation is happening in the room. You will definitely feel immersed. And it’s awesome that they have an app for your phone wear you can tweak settings and use it as a remote. You won’t regret this purchase.

Just Ok

I was replacing a cheap 5.1 All in One DVD player and stereo unit by RCA. I thought this was a slight improvement. The bass was really the best part. But this sounds like any other 5.1, to me. I returned this and picked up the LG95tr instead which provides mucb better sound and way more channels. Doesnt even compare really. Also the Sony has wireless surround but requires them both to be connected to a main hub. The LG surround speakers just need power only from standard outlet.

Great Home Theater System

I pretty quickly realized that the sound was average at best and returned it for this system. I could not be happier with its performance and fullness of the sound. This is a great home theater system for the money. It is important to note that the rear speakers are powered by wires that connect to a wireless hub that needs to be plugged in.

It is not the most powerful but is fine for my small mancave. I am replacing a very expensive Bose Soundtouch 300 that just died. Bose is not what it once was in my opinion.
