I had thought the system was completely wireless. I had also thought the rear speakers transmitted all sounds including voice only during news broadcasts. I may have gotten another system with a sub woofer and sound bar only but due to my vaulted ceilings was told this one was better. It is an improvement over my older Sony soundbar and sub woofer purchased in 2016. I find it best to pair a Sony tv with a Sony sound system.

Great surround sound for the price

Glad I went with the 5.1 Sony system. Easy step-by-step setup. Can use your phone to better adjust audio. Everything out of the box was packaged nicely to the point it became second nature on how things go. I paired it with a Sony Bravia 85-inch TV. One control does everything.

Subwoofer Hardwired

The rear channel speakers are wired to the small amp that is wireless as well. Small items that I wish I was aware of. If you don’t mind the wires, there is no worries.
