I recently visited Best Buy to purchase a Sony stereo for my car, and what could have been a frustrating experience turned out to be one of the best examples of customer service I’ve ever encountered. I initially ordered the Sony XAV-AX100 online after seeing it on display in the store. I was thrilled with the price of $139.99 and couldn’t wait to install it. However, when I picked up my order, I realized they had given me a completely different Sony model. At first, I was a bit disappointed, so I returned to the store to clarify the issue. That’s when I met the store manager, who explained that there had been an error. The wrong price tag had been placed on the display unit for the Sony XAV-AX100, and the system had applied the incorrect pricing to my order. Naturally, I thought this might result in a higher price or some back-and-forth discussions, but I was blown away by how they handled it. The manager quickly reassured me that they would honor the price I originally saw, even though it was an error. He explained that Best Buy values its customers and their satisfaction, and to make things right, they would provide me with the Sony XAV-AX100 at the same price I paid—$139.99. The team processed the return for the incorrect model with no hassle and gave me the correct stereo I had been looking for. They even apologized for the inconvenience and made sure I left the store happy. What stood out to me was how smooth the entire process was. I didn’t feel like I had to argue or plead my case—they genuinely cared about doing the right thing. The Sony XAV-AX100 is everything I wanted in a stereo. The sleek touchscreen interface, seamless Apple CarPlay integration, and excellent sound quality have transformed my driving experience. I couldn’t believe I got such a high-quality product for such an incredible price, thanks to the store’s price match policy and the manager’s commitment to excellent service. Great radio, just need better information on set up. This thing can do amazing things but you need master's degree to figure out how to use it to it's fullest potential. Definitely need better step by step, clear instructions on set up. Especially for an old dumb A like myself! Haha it's kind of annoying that I can't figure out how to stop the radio from going to demo mode! Installing was actually easier than I thought, thanks to a little tech support from Best buy. That guy was very helpful.

Great head unit! The other reviews I read about the display being a little dim in the daytime are correct though. It can be a little hard to see when it's light out. However, this is the only thing about this stereo that isn't great. It produces good sound and connects quickly to my phone. I also like that it has a wireless remote.

One of the easiest installs. Works great. Tons of features. Easy to figure out the settings. I love the quality of Sony products the price was great. In the past, I was being cheap and installed a cheap unit from China. It was supposed to have gps. Hot spot . A very unresponsive touchscreen. Everytime I stress my car it wild blast full volume no matter what. . This sony unit is a dream as all sunny products are. Easy connection. Everything is great

I originally ordered a panasonic that i really like but during the day it was IMPOSSIBLE to see the display. This receiver has MUCH BETTER display visibility during the day. I was surprised that so many people reviewing this unit said that the display brightness didn’t adjust. It definitely adjusts and though it may not be perfect its much better than most. You can tell when you check the receivers they have at the store. Also, when i had the panasonic I realized that i didnt need a cd player, plus it was so complicated with all these crazy equalizer settings. Not this sony though, very easy to understand, the app is basic and the options are few. Most importantly, it sounds amazing!!! You can see in my picture that it’s pretty easy to see the display during the day in sunshiny florida.

This radio is definitely an upgrade from my previous radio. I like that I can pair more than one device to the Bluetooth at a time, whereas my previous radio would only store one. I also like that it has a bass boost for the Bluetooth device. The radio looks good and sounds good and installation wasn’t too hard. I put it in a 1994 Mazda Miata and it fit ok with a few modifications to the installation kit. There is also a small gap at the bottom of the radio because the Miata was a ant designed for a double den radio but overall I’m satisfied with the look and overall quality of the radio. I would highly recommend it.

Great purchase for teenage son's 2003 Grand Prix as a birthday gift. Got it professionally installed and he couldnt be happier. Even made the speakers sound louder.

Big Bang for your buck. Looks and sounds great. Bluetooth is crystal clear.

Works good like the color changing and easy to use and change the setting with the app

For $120 you can't beat this stereo. Of course it cost me quite a bit more for all of the installation hardware (mounting kit, wiring harness, steering wheel control adapter, satellite tuner and a new bezel for my truck. Obviously everyone won't have all of these expenses. The sound is much improved over the factory stereo it replaced considering I didn't replace any speakers. All in all, I'm very happy with the choice and it looks awesome.

Excellent radio for the price I paid, and very ease to install.

My daughter has a 2000 Honda Accord with a factory deck and speakers that sounded ok at best, plus no Bluetooth. She wanted to keep it under $250 for the deck and speakers and this Sony unit fit the job perfectly. Great power and sound for the price. No CD player, but I can't remember the last time I used a CD in any of my vehicles. The deck include a mic that I just mounted on the dash right above the clock, and it picks up hers voice perfectly. So now she can do hands free calls

Installed in a 2009 Ford escape looks good sound is awesome I already had aftermarket speakers in doors this stereo brought them to life

Love this stereo! It sounds great on my honda speakers that came with my car. Works great with spotify too by using a 3rd party app on my iphone.

I hive it a 3 star due to difficulty of connecting to Bluetooth. The stereo has a mind of its own and sometimes will not connect after changing settings in phone and console.

Not a bad radio for price. I can't get it to stop searching for a radio station so I just Bluetooth music off of my phone.

Great Radio although I was hoping was CD player still like to play my old ones. Really has been nice purchase.
