    Nice, but flawed headset

Prior to owning these, I was an avid LG Tones user. The only reason I stuck with them for as long as I did is most of their headsets will faithfully give you 14 + hours of uninterrupted music. When my last pair of $129 head phones died in just 4 months, I decided it was time to make the switch. I spent a good hour in Best Buy, comparing headsets. The main things I was looking for are as follows: - Battery Life - Audio Quality - Call Quality - Durability - Comfort This headset excels in both battery life and audio quality. I listen to a good 6/7 hours of music while I'm at work and these are doing a fabulous job keeping up. Given the price you pay for them, I'd say the audio quality is very decent. I own two pairs of wired Sony headsets, one in-ear and the other over-ear. This headset is just as comparable to both of those. I'm also impressed with the range on these. My LG headsets would drop signal constantly. The only times these have cut out on me is when I left my phone at my desk to use the restroom. They are also lightweight and comfortable around the neck. Now let's talk about the drawbacks, because there are a few. I will preface this by saying that if you only intended to use these to listen to music and nothing else, go fourth and rock on. But if you intend to also use these for hands-free communication, then I would suggest looking elsewhere. I was able to call out to people and hear them just fine. However, the microphone also picked up everything around me. Worst part is I could hear it. So unless you are calling from a noise proof room, it will drive you insane. Then there is the overall design of the headset. For $59, I'm not expecting a metal casing or gorilla glass. But they could have done a much better job concealing the wires for when the headset is not in use. I was never a fan of the retractable wiring LG uses. But if you are going to leave the wiring exposed like these do, then the company needs to go out of their way to make it thicker and durable. Also, I would much rather see it sit behind the neck. I've caught these on a few things already, so I'm fairly certain I'll eventually snag something heavy and rip the wires. Thankfully, Best Buy has an excellent warranty system in place for that. I'm still on the fence about whether I'm keeping these or not. I do enjoy the sound quality, but the draw backs are severe enough that I am heavily considering another brand.

I bought these headphones after my old pair mysteriously disappeared. I decided to go with the more expensive Sony ones since I’ve been using a $15 pair I got at Walmart two years ago. After two months of use, I can definitely say I’m very disappointed in these. The sound quality is only as good as the cheap pairs I’ve owned, which is a major disappointment. When I try to watch YouTube or listen to podcasts via my iPhone, the sound is either off from the video, or the sound skips and cuts out every 5 seconds. Also, once you connect it to a device, you cannot connect it to another device without resetting the headphones which requires you to turn them off, hold both the pause and power button for 10 seconds and then turn them back on. If you want to change devices back to one you’ve already connected to, you have to go into the settings on your phone, computer, iPad, etc and “forget the device”, reset the headphones, and then reconnect the two like you just took them out of the box. This is very frustrating and not something that you should have to do when you have bough a $60 pair of headphones.

Got these in place of my last pair of headphones. These are horrible. First pair I got I had to take back because it sounded like I was taking to a computer. Just changed them in for another pair and these are also crackly. Sound clear if listening to music or something on your phone. Unfortunately when talking to someone else it's very bad. Can't hear what they are saying. If they say one word I can't hear them at all. When they do talk they break up badly. Never had this problem b4. Now i do with every person I talk to. Worse part about them is the speaker is half way up the set sho every time you move your head you hear the rubbing of the speaker like someone is rubbing a microphone. Both parties hear it on the phones. Plus there is nowhere to put the ear pieces once your not using them. So they hang in the way and get caught on everything. Good thing I got a warranty on them. I guarentee I will not be able to hear out of them sooner then later.

My SONY wireless earbuds stopped working properly. They were from the MDR family of earbuds. The right one became barely audible. It was my third pair. The same thing happened each time. Fortunately, I bought the 2-year service plan. When I returned them to Best Buy, they did not have the same kind. They called other stores and they did not have them either, so I replaced them with the WI-C400 product. I listen to podcasts and music while at work and exercising. The sound was distorted and tinny. They also randomly disconnected from my iPhone at least ten to fifteen times a day. I took them back, believing that they were defective, but they were not. I have the same problem with the new pair. I will return them and get a different brand. I love all my SONY products and am very loyal to them, but I cannot continue to re-connect to my phone three times while walking 45 minutes to work in 15-degree temperatures. Sorry SONY.

Not even close to the LG brand

I ONLY bought these because my LG went out and they no longer off warranty plans or else I would have stuck with my LG. This Sony one is alright and that's stretching it. The battery is about the only good thing. This headset doesn't have a place for the ear buds when not in use, the LG was magnetic in storage so they stayed out of the way. This device picks up EVERY back ground noise possible, the LG had a crystal clear connection to where you only heard the person on the other end and not what they were doing. This headset doesn't have the neck vibration to let you know if you have walked away from the headset , the LG did and that was important as we all know because I have left my phone on the charger at home before and before I pulled out the drive way, the LG alerted that I was away from the device. This device doesn't alert if you have a text message, the LG let you know you had a text vs a call by vibrating 1 time. I can go on an on about this device but you get the idea of how this device falls way short on expectations after happily using the LG!!

I've had lots of Sony products in my life and these are probably the worst things from them I've owned. And they're still not bad. The good: Super long battery life. I work 13 hour shifts and am using them at least 10 of those and they've never come close to running out of juice. The sound quality is pretty good for ear buds. But, with the limitations of Bluetooth audio can't really make true comparisons. The bad: microphone is pretty bad. Every call I make with them, the person on the other end can't hear me clearly. A big problem for a Bluetooth headset. The cable management system is very awkward. Lots of tangles and pulled bids out of ears. Buttons don't evenly work. Sometimes a quick press is good. Sometimes you have to hold it for a second or two to get the same function to work. There are better ones out there. I used two different insignia ones for over five years that were better than these.

I bought these to replace an old BT headset that would no longer hold a charge. I work a 12hr shift and having music is a must have. My old set had a max life of 14hrs, these last 20hrs. I have actually gotten over 24hrs out of them by turning off the voice calling function. These don't provide an over powering bass sound but it is good. They are light weight, I barely notice I have them on, it takes some getting used to as the controls are on the left side and my old set they were on the right. A short power button press and it will tell you the battery charge level from High, Medium and Low. And the cable management is simple but effective. For the price I couldn't pass these up, they were only $10 more and lasted 6+ hrs longer. For an in expensive set with good battery life, and decent sound quality I would highly recommend these.

I've had a wired Sony bass headphone with no problems for years so I thought I could try a wireless one this time. A lot of Cons: The vibration feature cannot be changed, or at least there's nothing in the instructions on how. When receiving a call, the sound and vibration (which happens at the same time) cannot be put off, even by clicking the sound button on my phone, which normally will silence the ring tone in case I'm not able to answer the call. I work in an open space therefore this was not working for me so I returned it. Another issue; when answering a call, the other person couldn't hear well what I was saying. Third issue, volume for the music is very low. Fourth, in order to charge it, cable has to be connected to a computer no a regular outlet. Only Pro is that the battery life is very good.

    Sketchy Performance - Frustrating Experience

I've run indoors, on the treadmill with these headphones 3 times. The bluetooth connection on these headphones is is sketchy at best - constantly scratchy sound, and often just stop playing music. There are also random sound spikes while listening. One second its a comfortable volume - the next it instantly jumps to max volume for no apparent reason. It seems that the buttons on the inside of the "frame" of the headphones are very sensitive. The music often stops, while running, as if it has been prompted to ask a question. I think this is the result of one of the buttons touching up against my neck while running. Very frustrating. I didn't really want to spend $100+ on headphones, and these seemed like a reasonable price/brand, but I will be returning them as soon as possible.

When I got my first pair, I was a little skeptical. Forgetting that Sony is the originator of portable music, there was the lomming expectation to return these for another pair of Beats, which never happened. As a Hip-Hop 'head', first and foremost, I am quite pleased with the bass response. However, long work days and public transportation make the mind beg for the diversity of audio books and other types of music. The package states these headphones can last 20 hours, but can actually go as long as 23. My biggest gripe - They last about 6 months (based on the first pair) due to shorts that developed near the 'housing'. Not so big gripe - when the buds aren't in my ear, I must be mindful enough to tuck them in my shirt. Maybe the lack of magnets is what differentiates them from other bluetooth headphones.? All things considered, I intend to get these until Sony stops making them.

Bought this to hopefully be a pretty good set of wireless earbuds, but was immediately disappointed right out of the box. The call quality is not great in the sense that the feedback of background noise the mic picks up makes it uncomfortable to simply be on a call, even if nobody is speaking. Then, those on the other end of the phone say I sound like I'm underwater. I know its not my phone, as my other earbuds don't have the same issue. The only positive is that they are wireless and the music quality is not bad--It's good, but not great (bass levels are not good). I highly prefer the audio quality of my Beats earbuds any day, but since I spent way too much money for this Sony pair and in all honesty, I'm too lazy to return them, I've kept them as my gym headphones because I really don't care if they break at this point or get sweat on them. I'll use them until they break and then I'm never buying them again.

I’ve had these wireless headphones for three months now. I primarily wear these to the gym to workout and at home to listen to music. The sound is great and the earbuds fit and stay in my ear even while I sweat at the gym. The battery life is very good and I don’t have to charge it every day. I have also received voice phone calls and I can hear the person I am talking to very clearly and they can hear me clearly also. All the buttons are also easy to use to turn the unit on, off, volume up and down, answer incoming call/hang up. You can skip a song on your playlist and it also will tell you how your battery level is. I do wish that the bluetooth range was a little farther because when I move to another part of the house, it starts to cut out and I can’t hear my music because I’m too far from my cell phone. I’m really happy with this wireless Sony headset. Great quality and features.

These headphones were a big disappointment . They were comfortable and light weight. Unfortunately coming from the LG Tone plus, it was rather annoying that the headphones are all over the place. The sound quality wasn't bad for listening to, but I would receive many complaints on the receiving end that they could barley hear me during a phone call. I am returning these headphones because they keep disconnecting during my workout. I even went to the gym twice to make sure that they were fully charged and the same problem. Nothing more nerve racking than during a workout , your headphones decide to disconnect . I would not use these if your working out or if you happen to call people often. I am truly disappointed in this Sony product but grateful that best buy offers a return policy.

I bought these wireless headphones in January 2018. They have great sound quality and I love the option to answer phone calls when they come in. Just push the button and you can talk hands free to the person and the sound clarity is clear. I use these to listen to music or watch videos while exercising. I love that there are no wires to get tangled up and the ear buds fit me perfectly. I have small ears, so I have problems finding the right sized earbuds to fit correctly. Just recently, these headphones were cutting out on the sound, so I looked at the online instruction manual and did a factory reset on the headphones and they are back to normal again. I'm so glad I didn't have to go out and throw these away because I have really enjoyed them for 8 months already and hoping they will last a long time.

I bought these to replace my LG tone’s that went out. I’ve been a Sony fan for a long long time, however these fall short of my expectations. The battery life is fantastic and they sound good, BUT there is no place to store the earbuds when not in use, they just dangle down, which isn’t necessarily a huge deal except when you hit the earbud on anything and the rubber sealing insert falls off. Like I stated earlier the battery life is good but it doesn’t give you any warning when the battery is low, “just battery low charge now” and then shuts off. You can’t use it for handsfree phone calls either, the microphone picks up absolutely everything in a 1/4 mile radius except your voice. Even when listening to voicemails, you can hear noises around you amplified by the microphone.

I've had these for awhile and really didn't notice any problems when talking on the phone until I switched carriers. Now that I have HD calling with Verizon and an HD capable phone, I am not able to hear people when using these during calls. It's very low, I'm straining to hear my friends and family. I researched the problem and found out that these are not capable of HD calling. That's very disappointing, but I'm glad I got the warranty on these because they'll be going back to the store for an exchange. I hate to spend more money, but what good is having all these cool phone features that I can't use because my headphones are old and outdated?

Purchased to replace a set of Samsung Level Pro U and absolutely love these. Honsetly the Pro U always hurt my ears after wearing long periods but these are comfy and light weight. I use primarily while working at a desk and air travel, and don't have problems with them falling out of my ears. The sound is all-around good. The best part, and why I initially purchased, is I can go 2-3 days before needing to charge these. This means I don't have to stop listening to music half way through my day to charge. The only cons are they are not sound isolating and while on a call others have trouble hearing me. Since I use 95% of the time for music, this is not a big deal for me. Sound isolation would be nice, especially while traveling or mowing the yard but for the price I paid wouldn't expect it.

I originally bought this for work, needing to upgrade from wired earbuds to wireless. I wanted to buy beats, but then the frugal side of me saw these on sale and having overall great experience with Sony audio products, I was excited to get these. However as soon as I tried these I regretted it. The audio sounded tinny, it was skipping and acting like it was having issues connecting, then low and behold it disconnected from my phone. I tried it again with my iPad, thinking that maybe the issue was my phone, did it again on the iPad. Then tried it with my laptop, same issues. Needless to say, I returned these and just bought beats instead.

This works okay. I initially had some pairing issues with my TV/Bluetooth Receiver but that was most likely related to user error. The directions are good although are all pictures. Once set up it connects with my Bluetooth Receiver every time I turn it on. Sound is just okay. I have it turned up as loud as possible and sometimes it is not loud enough to hear softer voices on my TV. I took off one star for that and another star because I don’t think the earbuds are very comfortable. They start to hurt after about an hour. For the price of these earbuds I would expect more comfort and better sound.

At first glance, I thought that the big "tips" of this headset would feel like a horseshoe around my neck. But I am pleasantly surprised that I do not feel it at all once I wear it. Things I love about this headset: (1) The headset adapts to my ear without the "pull" you get with other Bluetooth devices. The battery and controls are housed in the tips, which balance things well. (2) You can remove the headphones without fear of the headphones getting out of the neck (ideal for exercise). (3) Power on / off / pairing is fast and infallible, with a nice female voice speaking to you. (4) The controls are easy to reach and intuitive.
