Nice Low End

Once I got a new soundbar I needed a sub to pair with it. This powered sub is much better then the polk wireless one. It delivers excellent low end and if you wanted you can crank it up to really get the bass feel in your chest. Great compliment to any system and a good price.

It is fairly effective, but in the beginning sometimes it would shut off by itself even when the other sub was still on. I thought I had a faulty sub but after fiddling with the RCA cable I found that I hadn't plugged it fully into my receiver. After fixing that I haven't had any problems with this subwoofer. It sounds like what you would expect a subwoofer to sound and the auto shutoff feature is nice for saving on power.

It is ported, so keep in mind it’ll be boomier and less tight of a bass, which makes it better for movies than music. Recommended when on sale.

Powerful Bass

It has way more bass than I’ll ever need, so much so that it can completely take over the low end. I use it for music and have to adjust it way back, but I would imagine for home theater it would be crazy.

Set LPF dial to 80Hz and boosted 3.0dB on my receiver. It goes on sale regularly for $150, at full price it's a harder sell.

For $200, this sub has really nice bottoms and great punch. Easily sounds as good as my Polk sub that cost twice as much. Just be sure to set the crossover knob to a lower feequency for the best sound. At a higher setting it does get muddy sounding.

I PURCHASED THIS UNIT ONE WEEK AFTER BUYING THE 1015 WATT 7.2 CHANNEL RECEIVER FROM SONY AND THEY WORK VERY GOOD TOGETHER. I SET MINE UP SO AS SOON AS YOU TURN ON THE RECEIVER THE SUBWOOFER WAKES UP AND STARTS PLAYING, YOU DON'T EVER HAVE TO POWER IT UP BY ITSELF.I HAVE THIS COMPLETE SYSTEM ALONG WITH 8 SONY SPEAKERS IN MY 4 CAR GARAGE AND IT SOUNDS AWESOME.
