Can't wait to get the Infinity back together cuz that one sounded excellent Can't expect too much for a low-grade Sony speakers

Pretty much what was expected

Good addition to our home theater system

Gave the center speaker sounds we were missing. Installed with previously purchased Sony HT receiver.

I would recommend buying an extra set of the bookshelf speakers and use one of them for you center Channel. Same price pluse you’ll have a spare if you ever need it.

This center speaker works well with our setup.

We are very happy with it. This center speaker works well with our living room setup. I had to tweak the EQ a bit since is was a bit mid-rangy before adjustment.

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been using a 4.1.2 Sony Core series setup; two bookshelf speakers in the front, two in the back, two upward-firing Atmos speakers, and a different brand of subwoofer, all hooked to a Sony STR-DH790. I bought the center speaker on sale in "open box - excellent" condition for $109, the same price I paid for the pair of bookshelf speakers in the same condition. However, I couldn't use the center speaker because I didn't have the room to mount it. Finally, when I changed my setup, I had the opportunity to use it. Imagine my disappointment when I set up the speaker, and the sound coming from it sounds worse than just using the two bookshelf front speakers. Gunfire in video games went from sounding full and loud to sounding quiet and tinny, almost like how some effects sound when coming out of a PS4 controller's small speaker. Maybe the speaker sounds so bad because of its open-box, "excellent" condition which, in my experience, has no standard at Best Buy. However, there are others online who also say this speaker is disappointing compared to the other Core series speakers. I keep this speaker around because I'd hate to break up the Sony set, but it'll be collecting dust somewhere until I determine what to do with it.

Posted .Hi AnthonyS, We regret that the sound quality did not meet your expectations. This is definitely not the experience we'd like you to have. To troubleshoot sound related issue, please try the following:
For a low sound or no sound issue.
Check that both the connected device and the speaker are turned on and the volume is turned up.
Check if the connected device is playing back a music file.
If the connected device has functions or modes, set them to the appropriate ones.
When music files on your computer are playing back, check that the audio output settings of your computer, such as Bluetooth® settings, etc., are set correctly.

Great sound, compact size
