My son bought these for himself, but I have had to the chance a few times to use them. These head phones are even better than I orginally thought. When helping my son choose a pair of headphones, we listened to them all, Beats, Bose, Soul, etc., which all are $200 or better, I thought these sounded as good or better, except for the Bose. You really get more than you pay for on these, and my son is very happy with his choice and saved a lot of money.

This headphone is absolutely amazing! I even think that it sounds better than many of the headphones out there that cost twice as much! I listen primarily to EDM(Electronic Dance Music) and these are great for that. It has the capability to hit the very low frequencies so EDM sounds great! These make the songs you listen to sound 10x better. I would highly recommend these to anybody that is looking for something to amp up the quality of their music listening experience or for someone who is looking to do some DJ work. These make great DJ headphones too, they have noise cancelling properties so when audio is being played through them, the outside world is not going to reach your ears. These are an amazing deal! I don't understand why they don't cost more but if you are looking for good sound quality in headphones, don't waste your time looking for other headphones.

I compared several headphones in the sub $150.00 range and found that the Sony MDR-V55 headphones provided as good if not better sound quality than the Dr. Dre's, Klipsch, Soul's, Bose and other headphones in that specific price range. I have one minor complaint; after extended wear these headphones tend to become uncomfortable to wear. Hoping that after a few months of ownership that they may loosen up a bit to allow for a more comfortable fit. I really like the flat cord located on the RH side and feel that as long as I take care of these headphones they should last several years.

I was surprised when I first tried it on. It was really good. I'm not an audiophile myself, but for the price I think its really good. The only thing is I thought the cord was removable and it heats up a little bit around the ear when you use it for a long time but its still tolerable. All in all its still a best buy.

I bought the headphones for a trip and was replacing an old set of sonys. I didn't want to spend over $99 in case they got broken by my son. Good set of headphones and that keep most outside noise out even though they are not noise canceling. They seem durable as my song pulled on them a few times and they did not break.

Not sure the price is right, but these headphones are high quality. You'll probably need an extension cord since this comes with only a 3' cord.

Perfect headphones for my daughter, great sound, quality!

I bought these for dj headphones to replace my 7505s. These have a 40mm driver so a bit smaller than 7505s but sound quality is about the same. They also have roughly the same footprint so they feel about the same as my old 7505s. They got only 4 stars because the cable isn't as sturdy or as long and also not detachable. The length of the cable indicates these were clearly designed for listening on personal devices.

Easy to handle, cery compsct and good quality headphone. Sound is good.

Bought these for my granddaughter and she loves them. Comfortable too.

The sound is amazing. The drivers deliver crisp response and wide range of tones. The cups are very comfortable to wear for extended periods. I use mine on international flights of fourteen hours and experience no discomfort. Cup design also helps block out background noises so you do not have to crank it up.

I picked these up because ear buds constantly fall out of my ear and I wanted something that I could wear that wouldn't fall off. The sound is great it defiantly blocks out the noise when I'm in a crowed place, and they are quite comfortable.

Compared to the $300-400 ... can't tell the difference!

The sound quality is great for less than a $100. Good bass response and clear highs. On par or better than the pricier Beats or DNA. These aren't a true over-the-ear headphone, so they can get a little uncomfortable if listening for a long time. The single flat wire is nice as well.

I use these headphones everyday for home and school. They're comfortable and sturdy. It's easy to wrap them up and put them in my backpack. The sound quality is really good for the price.

The Sony MDR-V55 make the music sound as if all instruments is created the sound engineer want you to hear . The bass is tight not over powering and the treble is profect .
