I bought this camera for my son, who loves to take photos of sunsets, and he has been thrilled with the megapixels and how the camera performs

I haven't taken photos in a long time but with my new camera I have been taking photos everywhere I go.

The camera is great! This Sony DSC-HX300 20.4-megapixel digital camera features an Exmor R CMOS sensor for crisp photos and 1080/60p videos.

This camera has everything I wanted. The powerful zoom is awesome.

I have enjoyed using this camera. I am still learning how to use all of the features. I hope to realize it's potential in the coming years.

The pictures are very clear and the zoomming pictures are awesome.

This is a very good camera, fast and very easy to use for point and shoot, but also has the features and lens to take more professional like pictures.

Haven't lived long with the camera, but initial thoughts are that it is a wonderful camera with quality shots for minimum effort.

Easy to use with several options , great pictures. Went to redwood forest cloudy one day camera took great pictures the next day sunny great results , very happy with this camera and the price was great , its my wife's I'll will be getting one a step up from this one , and will be going to best buy to purchase it . I did a lot of research before picking this camera and I'm truly happy with it. It's got a lot more features than I know what to do with yet, I'll admit, but so far I've been very impressed. The best thing so far is the low light clarity. I took some pictures when it was pretty much completely dark outside and the camera adjusted so it looked like twilight and the images were amazingly crisp.

Great camera, easy to use. We bought the camera when my son was graduating from college.

This camera is really great it gives us the clearest pictures even from a distance.

Bought it solely for the zoom! Zoom is incredible. Photos at full optical zoom are not crisp but that's pretty obvious.

I first went to Best Buy with the intention of buying a Canon SX50 since all of my other cameras are Canon. The Sony is in the same "bridge camera" class as the Canon but is physically larger and fits my hand much better then the SX50. The controls on this Sony are also larger and easier to use which, in my experience, is a great departure from other Sony cameras that I've used. Normally the controls on Sony products are so small only a gnome with a magnifying glass and a toothpick could use them. I hate that! Anyway, the DSC-HX300 is very easy to use if you simply set the camera to one of the two automatic settings. In low light however the camera seems to take its sweet time processing the image. Yes folks, one or two seconds many seem to be a short period of time until you actually have to wait. I have had this camera for about a month now and the more I use it, the more I like it! Since I am more accustomed to using Canon cameras and since every camera has its own parculiar way of doing the voodoo that it does, adjusting things like the aperture are not as of yet automatic to me. My primary use for this camera is to carry it along with me wherever I go. A camera bag is a must and fortunately Sony makes one that fits. A good quality lens filter is also a must and the Sony is ready to go without having to buy a special adaptor. It's great to have a camera that can go from up close to VERY FAR away quickly. While the Ziess lens is superb, even good glass is, and always will be, as clear as the air between you and whatever it is that you want to photograph.

I love my Sony Camera. It is great for taking wildlife pictures because it has the continuous photo taking function. It is easy to use and takes great photos.

This is a great camera and doesn't require a lot of work to setup. The pictures are crisp and colors match the real image.

Good clarity and good zoom ability without having to worry about settings. Perfect camera for what I was looking for.
