We purchased this to replace a previous Sony DVD player that broke. This one did all you would expect a DVD player to do: play DVDs. Not a lot of bells and whistles. This seems like a really stripped-down version based on the one that we had for many years previously.

After trouble with other DVD players I got a Sony, knowing it would work right. I am not disappointed. Easy to use and straightforward product.

Went old school and bought a dvd player to watch redbox movies. Sony makes a great product.

The connectors, (red, yellow, white) are very loose and literaly fall out of holes!!!!! Not sure what to do now.

So far so good!! Ask me in a year from now. The last time I purchased an Insignia, after a year, it had to be replaced. WHY!!

just a very good product I would tell other to buy this product because I believe in it do not sleep on this product I would tell people at work while waiting in line I just will tell ever one I know to buy it so I will go on you tube soon to inform my friends to buy

Good quality images displayed on TV. good, basic DVD player does what it's supposed to. Control buttons on player could be more ergonomic, but the remote fixes that problem

I liked the simplicity of the product and it was easy operating and connecting it to the tv. It works great and we have used it a lot over the summer.

Not the best DVD Player I ever had. I don't like the way it operates not easy. My previous DVD player was an Insignia which I have for about 10 years. It was so easy to operate and set up. I wish I could have purchased another one.

Player was returned when it was discovered that it didn't have an HDMI hookup. Retail salesperson assured me that it did. We all can make a mistake.

I had originally purchased an Insignia DVD player. It was quirky and difficult to use. I returned it and upgraded to this Sony. It is a decent entry level machine. Nothing fancy, no blu-ray....just a dvd player. Does what it is supposed to.

Grate for the kids in the back seat of the car they can watch any movie they want any time

Very cost effective. Improved remote control functionality over the "deceased" Sony DVD player that it replaced. Very pleased with this new purchase.

This is a very nice dvd player the only thing is it says HDMI but does not come with the cable. Very good remote.

Didn't want to spend a lot of money, but still wanted to go with a trusted brand. This item gave me both, plus easy to work remote. Ordered online and received very fast shipment, with updates on order processing and shipment status.

Great for what I needed. The only thing that could make it better is a USB port.

I only bought this along with my new sony receiver to be able to play CD's in my garage. Apparently old school CD players are no longer manufactured. So this works just fine for an outdoor system.

So far so good - we've only had the player a week. I miss seeing a display (of the time played so far on the DVDs, in case we need to start it again), but seems adequate for the price.

You never know when you'll need a DVD player for your family.

This is old school. DVD/CD, no blue ray, no HDMI. All inputs & outputs are RCA jacks. Perfect for what I wanted, I'm using it exclusively for CDs in my back porch system. Easy to use and sounds great. Only 33 dollars!
