Small yet good DVD player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is my second SONY DVD player and it is as good as my more expensive one, but it doesn't have the counter on the unit so if you want to know where you are in the playback you have to bring it up onscreen. Otherwise, its great!

Had to keep trying to get it to play. Now, it just spins and then cuts off. SONY was known for manufacturing quality products and that's why I originally made the purchase. Now, it needs a repair. Sadly, electronic equipment is not manufactured like in the past. We could purchase a product and it would last over 25 years. Lower quality is designed into products now - thus failing sooner, and we pay more for the products. A good name is worth more than rubies.

Regarding the issue you are dealing with your DVD play we recommend to do some troubleshooting steps to see if we can fix the issue. Here are some steps you can follow:
1. Turn off the DVD player.
2. Unplug the power cord of the DVD player from the AC outlet.
3. Let the DVD player remain without power for 1 minute.
4. Plug the power cord back into the AC outlet.
5. Turn on the DVD player.

The body feels very flimsy as the buttons are pressed, so it's not easy to use it without the remote controller
