Needed a teen to help set it up. Directions are not good.

All I needed was a DVD player for my second television so we could watch videos. Didn't need anything else like streaming or smart features. This unit met the needs quite nicely.

I can only rate this player on reputation alone as it was purchased as a gift. I thoroughly trust Sony products!

I got the Sony because it is paired with a Sony flat screen TV. This allows me to use just the one remote that comes with the DVD player. This simplifies the interaction between TV / DVD & TiVo

Not as promised, bought open box in excellent condition and was supposed to have all the accessories, per the item description, it did not. When the item was returned to the store the store employees accusatory and told us we were liars and it might not have accessories, regardless of what the description on their app states

I had a Sony before and found that this model did a great job. My old Sony still works but I needed a new remote and had to buy the whole thing to get the remote.

I can’t believe it was so inexpensive. The Best Buy employee was very helpful. Just what I was looking for.

Purchased this DVD player a month ago and am very pleased. Remote is much easier to use than my other DVD remote. Highly recommend for the remote alone.

I bought this as a standard player to play dvd it delivers on that level very well for a basic dvd player.

now that we have a DVD player in my guest room, we have purchased movies to put in the guest room, now our guest can have late night movie night in their room.

Nothing super special. An overall good DVD player. I specifically needed one that was not Blu-ray and had RCA capability. There was only one so I'm lucky it was there!

i bought this as a gift and she was happy with it.She has used it many time sense Christmas and has told me how much she has enjoyed it.

Unfortunately came with a dent in the top; we didn’t have time to return etc. but a good functioning player.

I purchased this for my older, "dumb" TV. Works fine. Low cost. Obviously doesn't have the features of a Blue Ray, but my TV can't use them anyway. Just fine for my purposes. Easy set up.

I honestly have not been able to set up all of my Christmas purchases yet. I bought two of these for the kids' rooms. I am hoping the name Sony still holds to a high standard.

For someone who is older, setup took awhile but , when I figured it out, his ann is happy?

I love it. I can finally view a DVD. The device does have an buzz which I wonder if it is supposed to do that. *********
