This unit was the perfect replacement for a full vcr/dvd unit that finally died. It was affordable, easy to setup and produces quality pictures and sound.

Good product for the money , using to play old CDs

As a product, Everything I thought it would be. The problems started with the installation. Although the box stated "follow the installation instructions enclosed" there were NO instructions inclosed (this machine was a resale item bought at discount but the instructions still should have been enclosed.) Fortunately, my neighbor is an engineer and had the tools and cables (the three cables included were incorrect) to help me getting it working. Still, happy with the product and performance. I really like this Sony DVD player, it's small so you don't need a lot of space for it and real quite. It plays great. Great price!!

This DVD player has changed my life. Prior to this purchase my life had no meaning. I was wandering aimlessly. But now I look forward to the future with hope and gratitude and I am determined to do something meaningful with the time I have left

DVD player is pretty good, but the remote control buttons aren't working well after just a short period of time. The pause button doesn't work at all, & numerous other buttons you have to press really hard to get them to function. I would only recommend if the remote control were made better.

Usually have problems hooking up CD player or anything mechanical. This time got it right the first time, Easy to follow step by step direction. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a new CD player.

I have very simple needs at this time. My old analogue TV combo DVD and Video player died and I had an HD TV in storage that I could use. All I needed was a DVD player to connect to it. I picked up this unit at the recommendation of a Best Buy salesperson and it was simple to hook up and works like a charm. I love how it remembers where I am in every disc I put in it. No more scanning through to figure out where I was when someone takes my disc out!

Would have given it five stars, but the lack of an HDMI port and inability to upscale diminishes my rating of it. Overall it’s a very decent DVD player. Compact size decreases the number of inputs I suppose. This model has component inputs but no HDMI. The next model up has HDMI but no component inputs. Around ten years ago I bought a Sony DVD player with both that was around two inches wider.

Great price for what seemed like a great DVD player, until I realized (didn't see it in the product specs) that it's not compatible with a few TV sets. Otherwise, I would say it's small, lightweight and if it has a programming code that's compatible with your TV, go for it!
