I purchased the Sony blu-Ray last week when the price dropped $50.00 to complment my new Sony UHD TV. The first day I ran through the easy setup procedure and the blu-Ray worked flawlessly. The next day when I attempted to actually ply a disk I got a black screen. I replaced my hi speed HDMI cables with the ones I had used on the tv successfully, no luck. I cut the power to all my devices turned them back on and got only brief blue &yellow flashes on my black screen. Went and spoke to the sales folks at Best Buy, one said to exchange the blu-Ray, the senior guy said the problem was my Denon non 4K AVR that i had wired for audio only was the problem as it wasn’t compadable and couldn’d Handle all the new technology. I needed a new AVR. The third day after another plug/unplug hard start I got my home screen back. i played a disk and it worked flawlessly, great video & audio. Tried Pandora with great sound. I quit for the day on that note. I believe I have Problem blu-Ray I may have done something durn my wiring and than corrected it and I am keeping it, but that next black screen will prompt an immediate exchange!

Just needed a cheap dvd player and this fit the bill. Love that its sony and so easy to use.

I bought a Sony T.V. and a dvd player from Sony. I have had Sony televisions, speakers and now a dvd player. Sony is my go to brand. I have had bought many Sony products and i my opinion the brand has never disappointed me.

I needed one to view exercise DVD's. This one is a name brand, smaller and lighter than the one I had. It works great.

Good playback, decent features for the price point. Hasn't broken in the few months I've had it.

Do you have parents old enough to remember using a VHS player? Are you parents or grandparents afraid of technology yet they like watching DVD's? Then buy them this no frills, user friendly DVD player. You plug it in, connect two cables (included) and use the remote to turn it on. That's it. The DVD player is reliable yet it does take a while to play the DVD and eject it. It runs slow yet reliably, just like parents and grandparents. Recommended!

Great DVD player for only $35.00, needed to replace an older VHS and DVd player, however would really like to be able to find a VHS to play some older movies, especially for my grandkids. I purchased one about 6 months ago as well for in the bedroom. This was was put into the living room.
