I like this Sony DVD player with such a low price. I connected this DVD player with my PC monitor by a HDMI cable (not included)and I also connected this to Speaker by RCA cable (supplied). Bestbuy representative was very helpful to find an easy way to connect with Monitor with additional speaker for sound. Light weight, easy to use and great picture. I love this . No complication is using it. Has different speed in fast forward by remote. Sub title, Starts from where I left in the same CD. Awesome, I will recommend this product to everybody. You don't even need a TV to enjoy the good picture quality.

It's very easy to use, to set-up, doesn't take up much space. The picture quality is amazing for its size!

I have a vast library of DVD movies and many films I enjoy seeing again and again. So, our last DVD player lasted only 2 years. . . it wasn't a Sony. This player is easy to install - really child's play - plug the cable to the TV and the power cord to the wall receptacle and you're done! If you can read you can figure out the remote control in a few minutes. . . it's that easy. The DVD picture is superb. . . the HD Upconversion really makes the movie look like a "Blu-ray" disc. We highly recommend the Sony.

We purchased this Sony DVD HD Upconversion Player as a backup to our existing Sony HD DVD Player. These units may become difficult to find, ands since we have a library library of DVDs, we purchased this unit as a "precaution backup." It was on sale so that made the decision even easier. Our experience is that It is a solid performer.

I was visiting my 71 year old Aunt in New York City. Her dual vhs and dvd player finally stopped working and she wanted me to assist her in getting a new one. Well, Best Buy was my only place to go for such an important purchase. My Aunt wanted something simple to use without a lot of button pushing. This dvd player was very economical, easy to install and my Aunts dvd movies look great!. She was hoping to get a dual player but She saw for herself that type of combination does not exist anymore. Thanks BB for saving the day and making my shopping experience with my Aunt easy and fun.

This has been a great choice for watching my old dvds of tv shows since I cut the cord. Remote is easy to use and player remembers the spot I left off if I shut down to start watching later. Great value since most blu ray players are over $100 and if you go for a 4K player they are nearly all over $200. I use this machine instead of running my more expensive players all day. Cheaper to replace this machine.

I noted a lot of people noted some if not also this one not playing old or new DVD’s. This is a Good price at $44 and works great. No issues. Small, doesn’t take a lot of room like the old ones. Easy set up.

I bought this smallish Blu-ray player to carry in and out of a rehab facility during my visits there to play regular DVDs for an ill relative of mine. It was easy to hook up to the in-house big screen TV via an HDMI cable (you need to supply your own, as there isn't one supplied in the box the unit comes in -- which is normal). and played the store-bought set of a 60s/70s TV show, 'Mod Squad,' on the DVDs quite well. No problems with loading or playing them, etc. The Sony play was a surprisingly modest price, played well, and I therefore recommend it to you.

Consider that Sony is one of the few DVD manufactures remaining, they could have made a cheap DVD player, they didn’t. Hats off to Sony. My last DVD was also a Sony and one of my coworkers needed an extra one so her family could watch Disney dvd’s. I decided to buy a new Sony DVD player and give her my old one. The new player is sleek, produces a great picture and does a great job. My old DVD player, also a Sony is still working in perfect condition and my coworker has thanked me profusely. Great job Sony and great job Best Buy for carrying a reliable product.
