This DVD player is half the size of my old Sony DVD player, but just what I needed. With the cable to connect to my HDTV, it was cheaper than getting compatible cables to connect my older DVD player.

Cost of the Sony DVD Player with HD up conversion was $49.99 which was a good price I think considering that I like. Easy to install and use. Good picture and sound.

Very good quality DVD player. Purchased so I could do my old exercise videos during Covid-19. Also easy enough for my child to use.

Nice product with usable, easy features. Nice price. Performing as expected. Easy HDMI hookup. Only negative so far is the very 'laggy' remote which is slow to respond to some commands, if at all.

This model uses older technology but the picture is still very crisp and clear even on a 4K TV when used with a HDMI cable. Simple to use and provides what is needed to enjoy (non-blue ray) dvd movies.

I had the same model minus the upconversion that lasted a good 10 or 15 years so i saw this was discounted open box and it seems to do everything its supposed to do, shipped fast in good packaging ☆☆☆☆☆

Very reasonably priced DVD player, with additional in store coupon. Easy setup, working within 7 minutes. HDMI Cable not included, but no hassle to get one. Great for watching those old movie DVDs and photo CDs you just can’t give up. Watched Miracle first, 1980 Hockey Olympic Gold Medal movie, very nostalgic. Glad I can watch the oldies just by popping in the disc. Very Happy with purchase.

I bought this for my trailer. easy to use and hook up. Great HD picture. Being a Sony I expected the best quality. Looking forward to it lasting many years.

The unit does not have buttons in it to control all the basic functions. Have to use remote to do them.

Easy to setup and works great. With streaming, do not use a DVD as much so I wanted an inexpensive player that was high quality and that is what I received. Great Unit

Quality product, easy to use. Works with all dvds that I’ve played even the copied ones. I’ve had DVD players that they haven’t worked in before but this one performs well.

I bought this for a friend who instructed me to look for an inexpensive DVD player, as they were going to use it only seldom. However, once we had it installed, they belatedly told me that a friend had some blu-ray discs, that they wanted to play, too! SOooo, we are going to return and exchange the item- but not because of any failures in its function... Also, in hindsight, we should have waited just a week or so longer- Next time I went to the store, lo and behold there were 3 new models on the shelf, prolly early stocking now starting up for the Christmas season, and one of them is a blu-ray, at the same price I paid for the DVD player! (next time, I won't buy sthg *just before* the holiday shopping season begins!)

I would give this 4.5 stars because of the convenience of the HDMI connector but choice is only 4 (Good) or 5 (excellent). A little pricey for a DVD-only device - the other reason I knocked off 0.5-1 star. I've used it a few times so far and it works just fine.

ALL SONY PRODUCTS I HAVE OWNED HAVE WORKED VERY WELL. I AM SURE THIS ONE WOULD HAVE AS WELL. BUT! SINCE HAVE HAD NO WAY TO GET TO THE POST OFFICE TO MAI.L THE DVD PLAYER BACK TO BEST BUY BEFORE ABOUT AUGUST THE 18, OF OTHER RETAILORS ABOUT 2 DAYS LATE GIVEN THE USUAL 30 DAY RETURN POLICY . I CALLED BB AND FOUND OUT THAT THE RETURN TIME WAS 15 DAYS AT BB! KENNETH PRIEM
