I just needed a new dvd with a hdmi output for my tv after my old dvd stopped working after 15 years. Good picture and sound.

this dvd player was just what i was looking for to give my college daughter for her apartment. It is small enough for her room and easy to play her dvds

My old dvd/vcr player bit the dust. So I bought this as a replacement just to play my dvds until combo players are available again (in year 3000 perhaps). It can happen! (LP record players are making a comeback, right? Unfortunately, I've already discarded all my LP records. Rats!) Anyway this new dvd player works just fine and did not cost me an arm and a leg. I bought this DVD player to hook up to my HD TV. Connection was simple. Player is small and light in weight. Easy operation with just the basic functions. Does the job as needed.

This appears to be the 'latest' basic HDDVD player available at my Best Buy with the reputable Sony name, and promising HDMI hookup, of course more expensive than the cheaper brands. You do not get an HDMI cable included in the box, so I had to return trip to Best Buy to get a good one, that was the negative part of this purchase.

Compact DVD player that works great. Just be aware you need to purchase a HDMI cable, it is not included in the box.

A big upgrade from the BDP-S7200, Does Hi-Res music files, Great Video, older DVD's never looked so good, HD and UHD amazing. A+
