This DVD player has very good picture quality and excellent sound quality. The only negative is there is no front display of time.

This is a dvd player. It plays dvds. Requires a television to work. Also power. Make sure you have electricity before buying. You put a dvd in it, and then it plays There is even a remote control so you can do it while sitting on a couch, chair, or futon. Very cutting edge. It works. It does what you would expect. Did not explode upon plugging in, nor crumble as removed from the box. On a scale of plays dvds to does not play dvds I give it a rating of yes, it plays dvds.

These are perfect and simple units. They do exactly what they are made for flawlessly and at a great price.

DVD players are hard to come by nowadays but if you need one, this is a good one. it includes upconversion which helps with picture quality on our large TVs as well as an HDMI output. A lot of basic DVD players don't upconvert and don't have HDMI outputs so avoid those if you need one for your HDTV.

I replaced a 12-year-old DVD/VHS unit. I am very pleased with ease of use and compact size.
