Good DVD player for the price - simple to set up and use, and compact and unobtrusive

I got this because I wanted to have HDMI output for my new TV from Best Buy; so, I bought this. At $50, I feel like this is a steal. Movies I had watched before came alive with this DVD player. It was the best addition to my new TV.

My old dvd player died unexpectedly a few weeks ago, thankfully this one is cheap and works good

Was looking for an inexpensive DVD player and found this unit on sale as an open box special. It works with either HDMI or component cable outputs but only component cables are provided in the box. The controls on the player and the remote were very intuitive and had all the features I was looking for. Video quality is great and the unit operates almost silently. It plays my scratched and DVD-Rs well too. Happy customer.

As always Sony products are very good. I wanted a basic DVD player that could be connected to a video projector so that the little ones could have a 'night at the movies.' Time was tight as far as the approaching season and with the promptness of ordering and receiving the player thanks to Best Buy all were satisfied with the enjoyment this purchase. Best Buy has always been my choice for home entertainment.

Does the job simply and easily. remote works for television input and volume which is handy. Buttons are a little hard to work. No visual readout/display.
