I can't say anything bad about this DVD player. I love it, I have it set up with a 50 inch LED flat screen and the quality is amazing.

This is a great prduct at a great pri e and easy to setup either via HDMI or cables...

Purchased to replace same model that worked well for 5 years. Remote on older unit stopped working and it was easier to purchase new one. This model can be connected to older TV with RCA only connection as well as newer model TVs with HDMI inputs

Does what it’s supposed to do. Easy hookup to my TV - plug and play. I took advantage of their “open box” discount making it an even better deal.

This, so far, is doing as expected. It's a shame to see dvd players going by the wayside.

Had some trouble with the Cinevia protection scheme on some DVDs. Because most Bluray players utilize the Cinevia scheme to detect copies, this upconversion DVD player gives great quality video without the Cinevia interruption mid movie.

Only had it for a month but so far so good. It cleans up the picture quality from old dvds very well, and for the price I was prepared for the worst so I’ve been delighted for now.

I wanted a simple but reliable DVD player, and this product gave me exactly what I needed. Super easy to set up and to use, intuitive controls, works flawlessly. If you want a great DVD player without all the bells and whistles, you can't go wrong with this Sony product!

I purchased the machine because it is the same make and model as the one I had before. And while this machine doesn't have a clock counter on the front interface like previous Sony machines, I still purchased it because I like its functionality compared to other stand-alone units by LG and Mitsubishi. However, Sony DVD players have One Singular issue, namely a short shelf-life. Indeed in the last 20 years, I've gone through 4 machines. They all failed and nearly the same way, namely, a diode failure inside the machine, which allows the laser to read formats, whether it's standard DVD, CD music or, data discs. Will I continue to use Sony DVD players? It depends on whether someone builds a better mousetrap, I e someone builds a DVD player with the same functionality as a Sony, but with none of its faults.

If you don't need Blu-Ray capability, this is an excellent option. My TV only has RCA connections, and I only have DVDs in my collection. This model has RCA connections and comes with an RCA Cable. It also has HDMI capability when I am ready to upgrade my TV. For me, this was an excellent Brand-Name choice.

Great product. Inexpensive, much more than I expected.

I really like this DVD player. It's so much smaller than my old one so fits easier in my entertainment center. It loads and plays movies quicker than any other player I've had. It was a great price, too.

Small but very impressive sound bar. Purchased for use in retirement home with flat screen tv. Sound much improved, much easier to hear what dialogue is in movies. Very happy with improvement in sound. Would highly recommend this.

A neighbor was telling me about a good movie they had watched and asked if I wanted to watch it. I told him that I didn't have a DVD player. I went to Best Buy and used my rewards toward a player and got a nice little player. Easy to use.

Player won't play my recorded dvd's.I record with a Cyber link recording program.I'll check the record formats and see if then they'll play.It does play any purchased DVD movie and photo formats.The 1080P upscale makes a good recorded movie much better
