    Unfortunately it seems like these more expensive cards are now a requirement if you want your professional DSLR to work as it should. There is a backup SD slot on the D850 but occasionally there is a delay in being ready to shoot if you try and write to the SD card.

    I purchased this card for my camera. I chose the card with 400MB write speeds as I didn't want to slow up the camera with a slow card. I have used the XQD card for video, bracketed and burst photos. The camera never slowed with this card. It met my expectations.
