    Stopped working after 6 months. Was very easy to set up and worked well. Until it didn't.

    Avoid best buy and this disaster

    Beware. This product has a known defect Sony and Best Buy refuse to fix. Mine began power-cycling within the first year, then completely died at 18 months, stuck in a “Please wait / dEST restart” loop. Neither company helps unless you paid for extra coverage. Worst purchase ever—avoid this disaster.

    Great, especially for a small room

    For a small room, this speaker system has several functions, and a lot of flexibility. It also pairs well with remotes, and is easy to operate.

    The Sony HT-S2000 soundbar will not work with our brand new Sony TV. The Geek who came to the house could not fix it. We have called Sony 8 times and talked to their techs and they cannot fix it. The soundbar will sometimes give no sound at all, at other times it changes back to tv speakers for no reason.

    No woofer

    Returned and exchanged for a speaker with a woofer. Sound did not have much bass, and you had to use a separate remote to control the sound - only one came with it, so we were passing it back and forth among the viewers.

    When the TV is turned on, the sound bar does not always come on. It is frustrating to have to deal with this each time!!!!

    I kept my JBL bar 5.0 multibeam. I was expecting more from Sony. I had experience with their previous soundbar models and they're very good. I must also have a faulty unit cause the audio will cutoff for a second or two more often. The sound can get loud but there's no convincing immersion or audio separation or even faux height FX. I have a smart TV with the latest EARC port, paired with a certified HDMI 2.1 cable connected to both the TV and the Sony soundbar. I've used the app and made sure the vertical FX are on while listening to an Atmos content and was disappointed. I returned the unit immediately...

    The product doesn't meet my expectations. I couldn't not retirn it to Bestbuy anymore because the returned period was expired.

    I had high expectations for this new bar from Sony. but as with other soundbars from Sony the sound signature is way to warm and muted. And for this bar to have any chance to compete with Sonos beam or Bose 600 volume level needs to be at 75 percent. At lower volumes this bar is actually worse for dialogue than my Sony A80 J. So in closing if your buying this Sony for a bedroom look elsewhere or use your tv speakers

    Very unhappy with this Sony Sound Bar, previous Sony Sound Bar was great. This one does not come on or go off with the TV and there was little info that came with it. Would not recommend.

    Misleading Open Box Policy. Multiple large dents

    The soundbar is great. Unfortunately, I purchased it in “like new” condition, and it has multiple large dents. Unsure if this was missed in the inspection process or if it was intentionally misleading. It certainly makes me very wary of Bestbuys open box policy.

    External subwoofer needed

    The sub woofer is built into this sound bar. If you have to worry about space, then it’s a good choice. I don’t think the sound is as good as with an external subwoofer.
