Sound is great. Easy to set up. Use/ buy a high quality HDMI cable with it or you may have the audio come and go. Also, there is a delay in the audio; TV video leads audio. If you buy the subwoofer, it will connect with Bluetooth and no cable connection is required.

As an update to tv speakers this little soundbar is excellent. I have it linked with a Bravia 7 and PS5 and the quality of sound for both movies and games is incredibly clear. The unit does not have a separate subwoofer, which was fine for my uses. The soundbar by itself provides good bass amd again is a major upgrade to the tv speakers. Setup was quick, I have the bar mounted and the anchors are secure. Playing games such as Expedition 33 has been an incredible experience, the score of that title is beautiful and this soundbar provides wonderful clarity.

This soundbar can really boom ! Though the TVs speakers were good, the HT-S2000 definitely brought the sound experience to a new level. I feel like it's difficult to make an all inclusive soundbar, one that works great for TV/HDMI and via bluetooth/paired devices and I think this one does a great job at that , especially in the latter group. I've used it with the Optical cable as well to enable it's use when connecting the TV to a PC via HDMI (couldn't tell the difference besides the quirk of losing the ability of auto on and off that's enabled using HDMI). Also used it connected to PC via bluetooth between rooms, and this thing didn't skip a beat. The sound is so rich (mind you it's in a modest space. I was most impressed with the amount of bass coming from the speaker. Though I also purchased and used it with the standalone Sony SA-SW300 BASS speaker (very good on it's own), I feel like the internal bass of the soundbar is enough for normal use. Where I feel like it can be a bit of a mixed response is with confirming it , ther'es so many variety in sound across streaming, with the TV and the soundbar itself, so some tweaking will be needed if you want optimal settings for what you're viewing. That said, I'm happy with the product, and think the satellite speakers will take it to the next level. I would recommend this soundbar, especially for a compact space, and if on sale. Added/ great feature bonus is ability to grow system / wirelessly connect to another bass (2 choices at least) and wireless rear speakers!

Sony HT-S2000 Soundbar: Pros: Easy setup. Looks good. Sounds good. Has its own remote. Can purchase surrounds and/or sub. Has Dolby Atmos (if streamer supports it). I purchased at a great price - $200 discount. Cons: Xtras are not cheap.

Purchased a new Sony Bravia 2024 model. My old LG soundbar would not interface consistently. It had a wireless subwoofer that I had turned down to zero (no sound). So, I was on a search for a new soundbar. I wanted just the soundbar with no separate subwoofer. I don’t need a blasting bass that you can feel. I just wanted clear, crisp, high quality sound for TV, steaming movies, and music. I was also looking for the smallest soundbar possible, particularly in depth. My old LG was very thin but in my research I found in current times, thin soundbars don’t exist anymore. I used another site that had longer return policy to give each a longer try. But, I knew once I decided I would purchase from Best Buy because I like the Geek Squad coverage you can purchase. Some were the exact same price and some were more while others were less. My trials included Sonos, Yamaha, Bose also the Bose 600, Vizio, JBL, Samsung and others. Some of these had apps that were very problematic and some of them wouldn’t even work on my brand new top of the line Samsung cell phone. For an elderly, I am pretty tech savvy with these types of electronics so I knew what I was doing with every set-up I tried. 12 soundbars later I decided to try the Sony HT-S2000, in spite of some of the negative reviews that I was concerned about. I wish the depth of it was smaller and it didn’t weigh as much as it does. Other than that it is perfect in every way. Clear, crisp, fantastic sound with plenty of bass, across all platforms, and a very easy set up. I used it for over two weeks every day to make sure before returning it and purchasing from Best Buy.

I was using a samsung soundbar with my sony Tv an it was good but i had to always turn it up to 15-17 to hear when the air came on or when i ran the fan and it also did not show the volume numbers when turning up or down. I bought this sony sound bar an it is great, its very loud. I can hear it loud with the fan an air on an i only have it on volume 8. It integrates well with the sony TV and the app for the sound bar is easy an you can improve the sound by trying different things with the sound bar. My favorite is, its not wifi but yiu can turn on the bluetooth an plug the soundbar anywhere. i have mines next to my bed on the dresser. The only thing with bluetooth is you have to use the app to control certain features.

Great Sony to Sony product. If you have a Sony TV this is a must have. It’s not app compatible (iTunes, Amazon Music, Tidal) but Bluetooth is a snap. As an add on to any Sony TV it’s great, simple to set up and works great!! Sound is amazing and with the wireless subwoofer it’s perfect for the TV room.

Very easy set up for this soundbar. Attached it to my new 75” Sony TV and was not disappointed. Very clear and perfect for my average-sized living room. Highly recommend.

Sound quality is very good. Connected to TV via ARC3 port which works well for automated switching. Downside is have to go to high volume levels on the soundbar when watching TV - not sure why. If you want to watch sports with the TV muted, while also streaming music to the soundbar via Bluetooth, the process is a little clunky, but works.

Great little mini soundbar - fairly compact, definitely an upgrade to the tv speakers - natively compatible with sony - great value buy - good for small to medium rooms like 10x12 max - sleek sound system - no need for extra subwoofers etc

This soundbar is amazing. Very clear sound, perfect size, great bluetooth connection and has a built-in subwoofer.

The Sony HT-S2000 Sound Bar is simple to hook up, it gives a very quality sound for the price, and I think it was an excellent choice for home. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Does just what I needed it to do. Provides quality sound enhancement for my tv with a simple setup. Voice, surround sound and night modes let you fine tune your experience. The low profile does not block the screen. I haven’t tried the Bluetooth so I can’t comment on how well it works. I can say it does an excellent job on sound separation when the tv is only playing music.

I was originally looking for a Bose soundbar but after listening to the Sony in store demo, I changed my mind. I chose this soundbar because I have the option to add a sub and wireless surround sound speakers. Easy to set up and sounds fantastic!
