Just sounds so right.

For the price of the Sony surround sound system it’s worth every penny spend on it. Also the geek protection plan gives me covered so I can watch my shows the way I want to watch them with excellent sound at the control of my fingertips.

Sub cuts out/disconnects

For the price, quality is exceptional. I love the sound when it works together. Sound bar is connected via Optical. Every 2-5 minutes(no exaggeration) the subwoofer cuts out intermittently, green light blinks as an indication of attempted reconnection. I have followed Sony’s instructions to reset and ‘fix the issue’, however, does not fix the issue. Very irritating. Considering switching brands as I’ve had better experiences with less commonly known brands..

Still a lag

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sounds fantastic, but even though its connected to a Sony tv via optical cable, there is still a noticeable lag in the sound coming from soundbar vice the tv speakers. When connected via HDMI, the only way to control the volume is with the sound bar volume control (not the tv's) - which is a slight inconvenience because it requires a configuration change in the settings menu. Until they can fix the sound lag issue on all sound bars, I can only give a "good" rating.

Frustrating pairing instructions

That seems to be the only real downside. I did pair it with a Sony TV and that is certainly not intuitive. Sound quality is fine for the price, but if you are not technologically savvy be prepared for some installation pains.

Even though we have a new Sony Bravia TV getting the soundbar synched and operating was a bit of an adventure. Instructions could be more helpful.

The sound is clear with no cracking/scratchy echoing going on. If you put it on full blast, your house will vibrate lol
