Not bad for 2.1 but needed more Bass
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this because of a persuasive salesman. For a 2.1 system this sound bar is not bad. I was looking for a little more depth and bass. I am guessing my brand of TV was not as great as what was on display at the store. I am giving 3 stars because for the price and options it is not bad if you are looking for something that will not totally blow you away. I had to return and go with the 5.1 sound bar systems I was originally going to get.

In an effort to extend/increase my audio experience I have to increase the volume significantly. In addition, the bass output is subpar. In addition, to my expectations and experience I've had with this soundbar, I've compared it to another soundbar I have where the sound & bass quality is superior to this one. Therefore, I cannot see myself purchasing another Sony soundbar.

1. Check Sound Modes: The "Night" and "Voice" functions can significantly alter how volume is perceived. Press the NIGHT button on your remote to ensure this mode is OFF, as it is designed to compress the dynamic range (making quiet sounds louder and loud sounds quieter), which may be causing the fluctuations you're hearing.
2. Perform a System Reset: If the audio remains unbalanced, a reset can restore the soundbar to its factory default settings. To do this, press and hold the (Power) and – (Volume Down) buttons on the soundbar for more than 5 seconds. After this, disconnect the AC power and then reconnect it again.
