    Poor. The ups and downs of the volume is unbearable. And the bass sounds like thunder no matter the bass level.

      Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing inconsistent volume levels and overwhelming bass with your HT-S400 soundbar. We would like to provide a few steps to help balance your audio experience:

      1. Check Sound Modes: The "Night" and "Voice" functions can significantly alter how volume is perceived. Press the NIGHT button on your remote to ensure this mode is OFF, as it is designed to compress the dynamic range (making quiet sounds louder and loud sounds quieter), which may be causing the fluctuations you're hearing.

      2. Perform a System Reset: If the audio remains unbalanced, a reset can restore the soundbar to its factory default settings. To do this, press and hold the (Power) and – (Volume Down) buttons on the soundbar for more than 5 seconds. After this, disconnect the AC power and then reconnect it again.

    We treated ourselves to a new Smart TV and after shopping around found the Sony soundbar. Works wonderful! We are very pleased.
