Mediocre Sound Quality

Sales Rep informed us the SONY TV we were purchasing had inferior sound quality and he recommended this soundbar or another much more expensive one. This was originally $499, but we were given $100 off because we were purchasing the TV. The soundbar is mediocre at best. Sounds a bit "boxy". I feel like I have to turn the volume way up. I'd like a "crisper" sound from it. I tried to make some adjustments, but it didn't really help. For the price it should be way better than "mediocre." I'm disappointed in the sound quality. It's not bad, but it's not good, either. To be fair, the Sales Rep did tell us that the sound quality from this soundbar would be good but not great, and the more expensive soundbar would be a lot better. We just didn't want to pay another $400-$500.
