Hi CalebA, thank you for sharing your experience with the Sony - HTA3000! We're genuinely sorry to hear that the subwoofer and speakers are not staying connected and are not turning on when your TV does. We understand how frustrating this can be and is certainly not the experience we want for our customers. Here are some useful steps you can try to resolve it:

1- Power reset your Soundbar and Television: You need to turn off both devices from the power for 2 minutes and then plug them back in

2- Make sure your soundbar has the latest software version: Press Home on your Soundbar remote > select setup > advanced settings > software update > follow the on-screen instructions to update

3- Enable control for HDMI: Go to setup > advanced settings > HDMI settings > control for HDMI > turn on. This setting will allow the Speaker system to turn on when the TV does as long as you're using an HDMI connection between the TV and the soundbar

4- Reset the Speaker system: If the speaker still does not operate properly, reset it. You can do this by pressing and holding down the power and - (volume) on the bar speaker for more than 5 seconds
