Enable Surround Effect: Activate the “360 Spatial Sound Mapping” for better surround sound. Press the SOUND FIELD button on your remote and select “Effect On.”

Sound Field Optimization:** Run “Sound Field Optimization” to improve sound quality based on your room. Hi Sonybuyer, Thank you for purchasing the Sony HTA3000 soundbar! We appreciate your feedback about the lack of bass and the soundbar not having an HDMI passthrough. I'd recommend checking out the HTA5000 or HTA7000 soundbar if you're looking to for this feature. Note:
The subwoofer is designed for playback of bass or low frequency sound. When the input source, such as in TV programs, does not contain much bass sound, the bass sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear.
If you've already adjusted the subwoofer volume and it still doesn't live up to your standard, I'd suggest adding an optional subwoofer. For enhanced listening, you have options: Our subwoofers (SA-SW3 and SA-SW5) are designed to expand your listening experience—just power them on and they pair automatically.
