Sony is a leader in soundbar technology!

Sound is dynamic and not booming. The vocals come through clear thanks to the center channel. I plan on also buying the Sony wireless subwoofer that works with this unit. Look for it to go on sale!

Powerful soundbar for small living room

The sound is amazing, and dialogues are clear with TV being used as center speaker. Definitely recommended for small sized rooms!

Sony Soundbar with Strong Bass, Maybe Too Strong

When you raise the volume for clearer dialogue, the bass suddenly becomes too loud, forcing you to constantly readjust the volume. The listening experience can feel unbalanced because of this. When it comes to connectivity the soundbar offers seamless connectivity to Sony TVs, which is a big plus.

We sincerely apologize for the frustration you are experiencing with the bass performance. We understand that the overpowering bass that requires constant volume readjustment when trying to achieve clearer dialogue is making the listening experience feel unbalanced.
For enhanced dialogue clarity and better bass control, we recommend exploring the settings available in the Home/Setup menu of the soundbar (accessible via the remote control). You should be able to manually adjust the subwoofer/bass level independently, as well as try the Voice Mode feature, which is designed to specifically isolate and enhance spoken dialogue frequencies without boosting the overall volume too much.

This soundbar does not sound muffed or like a large speaker minimized into this. It truly does its purpose of a soundbar, giving that promised all-around surround sound at our house. This is a great buy!

Better than expected

When my son is sleeping we can have it mellowed down and when we want a full experience the sound bar does not disappoint the sound is extremely clear and it does not throw everything at the bass like my old sound bar so we can actually hear things when watching normal tv.

Works perfectly with the 55" Sony TV. Easy to set up and use. The central voice speaker is marvelous since a lot of TV shows now seem to overwhelm the speech with background mood music - very distracting, especially from ABC. The base is terrific and really works well with the Surround sound.

I was very disappointed but luckily the TV itself has great sound quality as well.

Sony makes great cheaper soundbar for the money

This was a lower costing soundbar. I had issues installing it on my sony bravia. The instructions dont tell you a thing. Took 2 days to figure out that i had to go into my sony bravia tv settings and turn on the Hdmi that i had to plug it into made specifically for the sound bar. I was getting so annoyed with this. So just a warning if you have a sony tv.
