The DualShock 4 is the natural evolution of the Sony's legendary controller. A much needed upgrade to the design, the weight, balance, grip, and ease of button use is excellent. The responsiveness of the buttons is very nuanced, but not annoying. I've not had much use of the touchpad as of yet, and the light has not been a bother to me at all, as some reviewers have indicated. Love it!

One of the shoulder buttons on my original PS4 controller was starting to stick, which made playing God of War less good than it should be. So I had to replace it. I like that this latest version had a few minor differences from the original: the plastic is a bit more matte so the grip is slightly better and the light bar is visible through a small line at the top of the trackpad. Other than that, pretty much the same, solid controller as the original DualShock 4. Loses one star because it's kind of pricey and overall, I like the Xbox One controller better.

PS4 Controller: Buy it When It Is In Stock - This is a unique color (Midnight Blue); however, any color you can find a PS4 controller in stock in is a good color. The Sony brand PS4 controller is the definitive PS4 controller.

Have been a big fan of PlayStation controllers since the beginning. Love the form factor and placement of the analog sticks. In recent years I've developed an attachment to the color red, so this version of the controller was a no-brainer for me. I play games nearly every day for hours at a time, so this controller gets put through the ringer. This being my second red controller in 3 years or so, I'd say I get about a year and a half before I start encountering issues (stick drift/etc...). With that said, I wish these controllers lasted longer for as much as they cost, but it's a minor gripe in the grand scheme of things. If I didn't play as much as I do, I know the controller would last considerably longer.

Purchased in-store because I needed another controller. Product works as expected. The color is bright and easy to connect to the PS4 console. The best part about this controller is that it is rechargeable. No need for changing batteries!

Great Product! The grip is comfortable, even for someone with big hands. It easily connects to the device (ps4 in this case) and it’s durable. For anyone reading this thinking about buying the product, it is definitely a worth your money.

Pros: -It's red, so it's hard to lose (unless you're color blind). -It works (unless you forget to charge it). -It does what my hands tell it to do. Cons: -It does the things my stupid hands tell it to do, like getting me killed. -It doesn't read my mind and do what I wish my hands would tell it to do, like not getting me killed. -You'll lose it if you're color blind. -It won't work if you don't charge it. I mean...it's a controller. I would have liked either white or black since my previous black one went airborne (well yeah, I threw it but the ghosts carried it into the wall and smashed it; oh yeah, we have ghosts), but this is what my local store had in stock so this is what I got. Plus the color is called Magma, and I can't even think of that word without hearing Dr. Evil's voice in my head saying Magma (as in, liquid hot mag-ma). You just said that in Dr. Evil's voice, didn't you? Yeah, it's okay. I did too.

This a pretty nice controller. I played Xbox for years and switched over to playstation after the xbone controversies and so I had to learn a new controller. The touch pad is more of a gimmick than anything unforuntately. A couple games use it for little things, but it's always something stupid. The light bar though is actually pretty cool. Many games do an excellent job of setting the mood with the light bar. The battery life is pretty good. You can get about four or five hours of playing straight through without the need to recharge. The controller feels much smaller in the hand than an xbox controller and personally that's a bit of a con for me but I remedy that with joystick extenders so I don't have to bend my thumbs completely inward to use the controller. I like the suspended triggers rather than the sealed ones on the xbox. It gives you a little more range of control. Having the D pad on the left is pretty useful as well so if im playing battlefield, I can keep aiming while I change my sight or pull out an RPG. The only con I've seen is that the rubber on the joysticks will start to peel after about a year of heavy use, which isn't really that bad and you can just buy covers to fix it.
