PlayStation made several updates on this device making it an absolute great device to play remotely or stream trough the cloud. With cloud getting better and better, I think PlayStation actually nailed it with this device. Streaming on the portal feels good without a doubt.

Although its been hard to obtain, this is the best remote player for the ps5, the convenience of having a dedicated remote player is great for the specific convenience either not wanting to use the big screen(TV) to play or if someone else is occupying the tv and on top of that u get all the great qualities of the dualsense controller making it in my opinion the best option to play remote play in

Awesome product love that im able to game on the go,but you want to buy digital game to get the full experience. Also do not download games when trying to use portal you’ll get horrible lag.

Dies kinda fast but charges super fast as well, it works great in my opinion just need decent Internet, works better when streaming ps plus games vs using PS5 but still usable enough to enjoy it

This is a pretty cool machine that I purchased not too long ago. I really enjoy it and pay for the BETA membership to get all the games which is sick. I would recommend this as a gift or a perfect gift for yourself!

This is the best purchase Ever ! Who don’t have a Playstaion portal you are missing out ! I can now play while doing a number 2 lol …….. Best Buy was the only place I was going to buy this at !!!!!

Its a good device for office type or home settings. Not good for on the road travel. Unless you have starlink internet lol. But overal not bad for a quick play.

Your experience will be highly reliant on your home network in terms of lag, latency and visual quality. If your network is up to snuff then you will really enjoy this device. It's bigger than I thought it would be but the screen size is perfect in reality. The analog sticks are a tad smaller than a full size dual sense. I'd recommend a case and a screen protector.

Great to have in the leaving room to just pick up and play when watching tv or shows. Gorgeous screen with fast response time. Definitely recommend if you have a ps5.

Decided to buy this so I didn't have to take my PS5 upstairs when I wanted to play. I work from home as well and my office is upstairs while my PS5 is in my gaming room downstairs. I mainly play COD so I should have read the reviews first. Its not great for COD multiplayer. It works fine when Im playing campaign, but has a lag for anything else. By the time I aim Im dead. Forcing me to explore other games. This also works like an additional controller so I can sit in front of my TV and play on it. I took it to a friends house but the wifi was bad so it was very pixilated. I have started playing power wash and am addicted! I love laying in bed playing. PS5 must be in rest mode or on to connect. Im taking a 10 hour trip away from my PS5 so Im hoping this will be able to be played while Im away. I bought a plastic console cover, screen protector and case and love the feel of it in my hands. Before I protected it it felt VERY fragile. I would definitely recommend you put this in your PS arsenal. CONS: cant switch user or have someone play my ps5 console while im playing on this device...unless I havent figured it out yet.

Don't always follow what the latest Internet outrage trend is. If you always follow the internet you'd own nothing. It works great over home network. Have not tried it outside of that. Works as described. Few disconnects here and there but we noticed that at late evening times when everybody was home. Try it before you knock it.

Son loves it. Say best Xmas gift ever. To be able to connect to his playstation and play his video games without taking my living room tv and playstation is a great feature!

While the PS Portal isn't for everyone this controller is great for multi-taskers or for those who want to compromise with others who may want to watch the main TV while you still have the desire to game. If you are looking for the next generation "on-the-go PS handheld device this isn't it. However, if you are looking for the best use of Remote Play the PS Portal is the top device for that. As someone who used to play on the iPad, I find the Portal a much better investment (provided you have strong WiFi connectivity). The signal remains strong in any part of your home provided that you have high-speed internet of course. Sound quality is amazing whether you are using headphones or the speakers. It's almost on the level of Apple Airpod Pros. And just like an Apple product, it is user-friendly in terms of install and connectivity. Additionally, you also have the same capabilities as the Duel Sense controller, including immersive haptic feedback, dynamic adaptive triggers, a built-in microphone, and a responsive touch screen. For me (and others like me) this is a great component to add to your PS5.

I had my doubts about whether to buy it or not, but I don't regret it. It works excellent.

I keep going back to it thinking it’s worth it…it’s not. Don’t buy it. In reality if you can have a 5G hotspot at any given time then buy it. Let’s be real though, no average day to day person has that option. They’re running off 2.4G WiFi and maybe an okay 5G connection. But overall, not worth it. PlayStation is trying to make it the “modern PSP” by having cloud gaming on it but you have to have their most expensive subscription to play the cloud games. Oh, and the cloud games are what they deem suitable to be on there for now. You can still connect to your PlayStation 5…if it’s in Rest Mode. If not or you forget to put it in rest mode, well, it’s cloud games or nothing. It won’t turn on your PlayStation from being “off”. So overall it’s more of one of those weird, odd, collectible gaming items to make fun of later on. Lastly: - Not an OLED screen or even LED - 1080p resolution IF you’re lucky - Usually always runs below 1080p when on a different WiFi or connection point that what the console itself is on. - Battery life sucks - Joysticks are the definition of sensitive to the touch…as in they feel loose and fragile. They are super sensitive to movement - Photo provided is it running at 1080p but don’t let it fool you. There is a ton of lag time. The resolution was only maxed out because the PlayStation was in the same room and the PlayStation and the portal were the only two items on the WiFi. (PS5 was on 5G and the portable was on 2.4G)

On time delivery, Playstation portal is great can play ps5 and ps4 games that are downloaded on ps5 or if you got extra storage connected it can play any games on the storage device as well !!!!Playstation games while relaxing at home laying in bed or when out an about.. can be played anywhere with strong internet while Playstation 5 is at home in rest mode!!awesome machine!!!
