Yes the Portal “only” plays your PS5 games but it does it so well (assuming you have pretty good wifi). So far I’ve only used it at home but I’ve used remote play for years on my phone and iPad. I expect this to be a much better experience once I can travel with it. Only thing I would really knock it for is not having some kind of browser to be able to login on hotel wifi.

This is perfect for me. All i have to do is grab and play.

It works great! Just connect to WiFi and I’m able to play the games in console back at home, this is great for kids on the go!

it’s fun when it works. these are very picky with the internet you are using. would only recommend if you have great wifi.

Convenient way to play PS5 games away from a TV. Screen is large for a portable with crisp colors and resolution. Only minor quibble is it takes a minute to connect to my PS5, but once it does it runs smoothly.

It’s very nice and sleek, obviously the feel is different from the actual ps5 controller but overall he liked it. Very convenient because you don’t necessarily have to be in the same room as the console itself.

Awesome little device by sony that lets me play my ps5 in bed while my fiance sleeps! Screen is beautiful - only negatives are I wish the sticks were full size, streaming games isn't allowed (Makes sense since youre already streaming from the device though) and changing brightness is a bit cumbersome while playing

If you like the ability to game around the house, this is perfect. It is helpful when your significant other is using the TV, or you're just in a different spot, like watching a baby monitor or tending to the grill! Also good if you have some downtime between projects, or when you're on vacation. Haven't had significant connectivity issues in the home.

PlayStation Portal has been a great accessory to my PS5 and has worked better than I expected. I was a little wary of streaming from my console, but I haven’t had any issues. It’s great to be able to play in bed or in another room if my main tv is being used by someone else. I haven’t had a chance to try it away from home using my phone hot spot, but I understand it also should work great that way.

I purchased this PlayStation remote for my Grandson’s 8th Birthday! And it was a Hit! He plays it everyday. He told me I am the Best Grandma Ever! And the young man that helped me was Absolutely Wonderful! I will definitely shop here again !

Sony really upgraded this so much this year with the software updates. Being able to play games directly from cloud is awesome. This feels like a standalone handheld device now.
