Very useful when you can’t be at home or are unable to use the tv

The portal is a great addition to the Sony lineup of accessories for the PS5. This device is easy to set up and lightweight. The cons for this device is that it has no Bluetooth and internet browser so good luck trying to connect to the internet in public spaces that requires you to confirm a tos agreement to use the internet.

I love this item I use it everyday while still hanging with my family in the living room

Very convenient to use whenever I have downtime while the wife and kid watch TV.

It works great, even when out of the house with good Wi-fi and the PS5 connected by ethernet. PS5 must be left on rest mode.

Love it!!!! I’m able to take it with me on vacation and it works as it should! As long as I have WiFi I can connect to my ps5 and the games.

If you have a PlayStation 5 and don't always get to enjoy it while you're home, the Portal is perfect. It allows me to play in the small moments, even when i can't be in the room where my PS5 is. I've never used remote play because it really wasnt convenient, but this device makes it so. If you're considering, get it!

It has problems with connecting almost Everytime I try to use it. Lags more often than not. When it works correctly and runs smoothly, it is awesome. As a pick up and play device, it falls short. I wouldn't recommend it to someone else.

Took this thing on my trip and it was amazing! Yes it stutters at times but it’s only a cloud streaming device but it’s super cool!

I leave my PS5 hooked up to my livingroom TV and occasionally move it to my bedroom. I bought the Portal with mild expectations as I knew the latency might be an issue. Tbh, when playing Spiderman 2, i cant really tell there is a delay but when playing Call of Duty I notice it. My PS5 is hardwied and I am using a Ubiquity UniFi UAP-AC-PRO.

It’s good at what it does. It allows you to play games on your PS5 when you’re not sitting in front of the TV next to your PS5. (Yes you NEED a PS5 also to use this). My biggest gripe, it does NOT support Bluetooth headphones. Hope you have an old RCA headphone or the new proprietary headphone / earbuds from Sony. Other than that, I haven’t noticed any meaningful lag, but I have been playing this in my house, so, make what you will of that. Oh, and I was unable to edit how the touch screen works, I have to tap it twice for it to operate the Touch Bar on the PS5 controller. I would have loved to change it to one touch, maybe I’m missing something. Final thoughts, if you’re a tech junky like me, I recommend getting it, otherwise, don’t. Wait for something that can play games natively and also support PS Remote, like the PS Vita that had its own games and it also let me remotely connect to the PS4 to play games when I was away from home.
