The playstation portal is a game changer when you have kids and a wife that love to take over my main television. The handheld works well on the network, still stutters some but most of the time runs well. The screen and battery are really well down, wish it had bluetooth, but overall its a solid buy if gaming is your hobby and you share.

I didn't think I would like it as much as I do. It's a very nice light weight device that mirrors your PS5. I work at night and there are lots of quite slow times on my job. The PlayStation portal is perfect in these slow situations. I use my phone as a hot spot and synch it to the portal. It runs perfectly just like I'm playing at home on my desktop unit. I love it!

If only the streaming app's worked with it. It would have 6 stars........

If you are a casual gamer, you will love this. Anyone who values immediate response time will not. I happen to fall into the latter of the two categories. Good build quality and software.

This thing works great so long as you properly setup upur home router. There are ports that need to be opened so you can get strong connections outside hour home wifi. Once you have it setup properly and have a stable connection it works amazing. A quick google search for ‘remote play port forwarding’ should get you the info you need.

My son loves this PlayStation portal allows him to play video games while his sister watches TV it gets good connection barely any lag

This is the only way I can play my PlayStation five away from home. Excellent but the my the Wi-Fi connection doesn’t matter on the quality of the picture but overall A+.

Awesome little device by sony that lets me play my ps5 in bed while my fiance sleeps! Screen is beautiful - only negatives are I wish the sticks were full size, streaming games isn't allowed (Makes sense since youre already streaming from the device though) and changing brightness is a bit cumbersome while playing

Got this so my family can play the ps5 without needing to be at my setup all the time. Wish the battery was better but still a good investment.

While this item does exactly what it says it does, I’ve experienced some problems with connectivity. Most of the time it gets resolved by resetting the ps portal, but it’s kind of annoying having to do that every time I wanna use it.

The article turned out better than I expected, the image quality is very good considering you always have to be connected to a WiFi network!

The prices isn’t amazing for great console and great software

Yes the Portal “only” plays your PS5 games but it does it so well (assuming you have pretty good wifi). So far I’ve only used it at home but I’ve used remote play for years on my phone and iPad. I expect this to be a much better experience once I can travel with it. Only thing I would really knock it for is not having some kind of browser to be able to login on hotel wifi.

Ended up returning because this wasn’t worth the value. If I were able to play the games in my library on the go then maybe, but only being able to play a selective amount of games isn’t worth the money that Sony is asking for

My husband plays every night. Picture quality is great and sound is good! Very happy with this purchase. Now my son wants one lol
