I know we can use our phone and a Backbone or Dual sense for remote play. The problem is that you’ll get a text but when you exit out tou have to reconnect, if someone calls you youll be kicked out. My favorite way was with a laptop, but it is not every time that tou can use just pop a laptop in the break room and take out a controller like that. It is not hard to use remote play dont get me wrong. The thing is this device is dedicated just for that. You take it out connect to the WiFi and you are all set. 1 problem might be, you have to have your PS5 on a good internet(WIRED is the best). If you use a hotspot a 5Guw will provide the max experience. The Sad part is this devise has too much potential for just that. Hopefully we can do more with it.

For only $200- it is perfect. More games are coming out on the streaming part and there really is not that much input lag when remote playing. Worth it and makes it easy on traveling, rather then having to bring the entire PS5.

I'm extremely disappointed with the PlayStation portal, and I'm not alone. As a long-time PlayStation fan, I expected a seamless and user-friendly experience, but what I got was a clunky, slow, and frustrating interface.
Firstly, the navigation is a nightmare. The menu is cluttered, and finding what you need is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Simple tasks like downloading games or accessing settings become an ordeal. The slow loading times and frequent errors only add to the frustration.
The portal's design is also visually unappealing, with a dated look and feel that lags behind modern standards. The layout is confusing, and essential features are hidden behind unnecessary layers.
But what's even more disappointing is the lack of functionality. Basic features like game organization, friend management, and notification settings are either missing or poorly implemented. The search function is unreliable, and the store is a mess, making it hard to find new games or deals.
Some other issues I've experienced include:
· Frequent disconnections and errors
· Unresponsive customer support
· Poor optimization for different devices
· Limited customization options
Overall, the PlayStation portal feels like a step backward in terms of user experience. It's a shame, considering the excellence of the PlayStation consoles and games. I hope Sony takes user feedback seriously and revamps the portal to match the quality of their hardware and software.
Recommendation: Until significant improvements are made, I recommend using the console interface or exploring alternative gaming platforms with more user-friendly portals.

I’m sitting right outside my house in the car and the wifi just won’t stay connected. Not to mention you can’t even go anywhere far from your game it’s like a household handheld and that’s not what we signed up for. I have xfinity btw. It says all you have to do is have your game in rest mode and it will connect. That’s not true cause the portal needs wifi to connect to connect to the system and even the the connection will be weak and it will back you out. I’m highly disappointed. Sony lost me with this one

Playstation portal is the best device I have been looking for that would help me relax in bed and play my playstation games at ease. Also when kids are occupying the tv it becomes very comfortable and easy to play game lying in the bed.

It's a great Device, it's better as a secondary screen when your main screen is busy. Sound is pretty good, picture is great as long as your wireless network is setup without a lot of interference.

it wasn’t as expected, even with playing many ps5 games on it. i barely use it now, really looking to sell it. i just got bored with it, but its an incredible product overall for those that game freely
