Love my portal. Great for when I’m traveling or visiting my parents

i absolutely love this thing i use it every day makes gaming portable in my house

finally was about to purchase one - so far everything works great but please make sure you have a strong wifi signal before purchasing. i had to upgrade my internet so it wouldn’t be so laggy

I think this is a pretty good device. Obviously, it’s not as free as a regular handheld device. But, if you want a handheld PC, then buy a handheld PC! What this device is meant for, it does really easy and conveniently. It’s a remote play device! Yes, you can use your phone, tablet, computer, Steam Deck, etc. They all work well enough. You can even connect a Dual Sense to those devices. This device just makes it easier and has everything you need built in. Biggest con is you need a decent wifi connection for the smoothest experience.

I purchased my portal during the beta phase. I am now able to play game ln the cloud, but I wold have to donnect my portal to my console for other game use. Its best to purchase the premium playstation monthly fee in order to stream games from the cloud.once you pair your console to the portal, you cam play you games on the portal as you have great internet connection. I'll put it like this.... Yes you can play your PS5 in front of your TV no problem, but if you are feeling adventurous and want to game in the bed, in the backyard, on the front porch, at your hotel room with Wi-Fi hotspot, at your friends or family's house when you're on vacation or visiting, at work on break or lunch, and want that good PS5 playing experience... You better pick one of these up and thank me later. Do your research on the optimal settings on your PS5 console for playing on the portal for the ultimate experience because that weighs in as well.

I love it. I prefer playing the cloud streaming games from the PSPlus library than connecting to my system, but all in all this is a solid handheld.

Overall, the Portal is great. It takes some tweaking of your PS5 for optimum running, which isn't ideal if you are traveling when you discover the connection is unstable. The cloud gaming access makes this a solid handheld option for PS5 gamers. The open box unit was definitely worth purchasing.

I love the build quality, it works great when I'm using it on my network, playing a game on my bed is nice. But when I use it somewhere else, the quality is garbage. Now I know it's not my upload as I have fios and upload speed is really high. Another negative is not being able to login on wifi networks that use a login page, so no public wifi networks. Also you can not use it to watch YouTube or dvds, not a huge deal but it is another limit.

My daughter was looking for a portable tool for playing her game. Now, she can be in the living room and not stuck in her room playing.

With decent wifi it is an excellent experience. Its overpriced but definitely an awesome experience. I purchase not regretted .An upgrade from the backbone.

Nice but left me wanting more. Features that would make it perfect: Bluetooth, if it had its own games (I would pay extra for this feature), the ablitiy to watch movies/youtube, maybe standalone apps can be added in the future.
