My son loves portable PS5. It was a birthday gift.

The PlayStation Portal is a must have! I love this device. It makes it easy for me to play my PlayStation in bed while my wife watches something on the TV. One thing to note is that if you’re experiencing lag, make sure your PS5 is hardwired into your network. Once I did that all lag I experienced was gone. I was even experiencing lag standing next to my PS5 while getting 500+ Mbps wirelessly.
Do I wish this device could play games independently of a PS5? Yes! But I knew what this device was and it does that task extremely well.

It’s the only way I play my game now. I was a little skeptical because what people said online but I love this thing. I play my ps5 way more now that I have it. As long as you have a decent connection you don’t really have anything to worry about. The only downside I see from people that is legitimate is the lack of a web browser so if you’re traveling and need to connect to hotel WiFi or any public WiFi it probably isn’t gonna work. Other than that it’s definitely worth the $200 price tag.

The portal is so convenient when on the go. Yet, I still find myself using it instead of my ps5 sometimes. Screen looks amazing!!! Wish it would’ve went on sale.

Listing the cons first:
- First and foremost, the most important thing, the Wi-Fi signal and input lag. You will always have some form of lag, no matter how good the Wi-Fi signal and your settings are. even though it’s very small, it is still there indeed.
- To pick it back off the first one you cannot play competitive style games online and by that I mean, due to the input lag. Sure, it will work, but I don’t see portal players coming out on top.
- even though the screen is a decent size, the The joy cons are considerably smaller than a PS5 controller giving you less surface area to grip your thumbs. The grip is smaller too.
- The charging port, it’s integrated in the back of the screen and dented into the frame. It makes charging and unplugging with the supplied cable, not challenging, but not as easy.
-you are unable to connect headsets, but the portal does work with the PS buds that came out recently.
Now for the pros:
- The first important pro for me was the amount of fun I had away from my console. Due to the first con, I was at home, but still had plenty of fun around the house.
- It’s battery lasted a good 7 1/2 hours from a full charge. Brightness and volume were up so assuming it could last longer if those are taken into consideration.
- My son dropped it from about 3 feet and I was surprised that it did not have any cracks or dents into the screen or frame. So it is somewhat durable.
-it is in fact, fun using it with games that are single player, like God of war, and Spider-Man.
In my opinion, and in this Review I give it Four stars and the reason for that is because the fun I had using this thing. If it wasn’t for that, it would be three stars because the portal is not needed by a true gamer where there is a lot to account for and this system has too many of those cons. But all in all, I still recommend it to those who are curious enough.

Amazing way to play games away from the console. I love it for when there are sports going on. The only downside is lack of play away from the home network, which does not function well. I would give it 4.5 stars for this, but since I can't I rounded up to 5.

Love the Portal! I often find myself playing on this more often than on my PS5 Pro and TV. Works flawlessly at home. I have not tried it away or on other WiFi networks. The new Cloud gaming option is really impressive too.

I love this thing, don't give up on the drops! Just be persistent and it'll happen, super worth it. So nice to have so others can watch TV, or not, and I still can play.

I love my Portal I had a very good time playing with my siblings during Thanksgiving. The fact I don’t have to bring my PS5 is sooooo much better! Spider-Man in my hands!!!

The PlayStation Portal is a sleek and well-built device that allows you to stream PS5 games over Wi-Fi, providing a smooth and immersive gaming experience with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. It integrates seamlessly with the PlayStation ecosystem, offering easy access to your game library and PSN features. While it relies on a stable Wi-Fi connection and the battery life could be longer, it's a great addition for PS5 owners looking for a portable gaming solution.

As a customer, the PlayStation Portable delivered an incredible handheld experience. The graphics were outstanding, the game library was diverse and engaging, and the system felt premium and innovative. It provided console-quality entertainment on the go and remains one of my favorite gaming devices.
