If you have bad connetion it will not connect and your hotspot struggles to pair since itll say not connected and if you try like a company wifi local vender it will automatically decline other then thats its okay cause the graphics are clear and its smooth on a strong connection played both PS5 games and PS4 no issues at all

This is a good, albeit limited device. I was surprised how well it worked at home, although having an Xfinity wifi router means there are limitations. Even in the same room, the wireless signal doesn't always connect. I also couldn't get it to function while I was away form the house -- it simply wouldn't connect. The device essentially requires a strong non-ISP provided router, so there will be that added cost. Other than that, it's a nice second screen to use to play Final Fantasy while watching things on the main TV.

I have to reconnect to the internet each time I use it. Motion controls are not great for my son when he's in his bed. Still a wonderful device.

Beat video console, play any where and good quality

My only issue is that I’m not able to stream Netflix Hulu etc. and music. Only than that it work for what it is..

I really do enjoy my PS Portal. But I do have issues connecting to the PS5 at times. Other than that, it’s great.

Easy to setup and easy to use. The PsPortal does as advertised with a lightweight feel in hand. Even though it is lightweight it still feels sturdy and durable like it will withstand hours of usage without damage to it. I keep mine in a carrying case for travel and use it outside most days. I am happy with the purchase

Does what its supposed to. Looks and feels nice. Im able to play MW3 multiplayer on it while sitting on my deck. I recommend it.

The PlayStation portal is great for in house use as well as outside the house use and connection. The only downfall of this product is that if the WiFi you want connected needs a secondary browsing source you can not connect. That’s the only change I’d make to this product or if possible apply to an update to allow for better connectivity.

Package came in time. The PS Portal was also well wrapped. Tested it instantly, and no regrets. I can game wherever, whenever as long there is internet. I also tried mobile hotspot. Not the greatest experience, but its playable

Stunning quality for a remote player! And with the cloud streaming option available now, it’s even more viable. Feels like a proper PS5 controller in your hands too! Overall high quality fun.

The Sony Playstation Portal is a thing of beauty. As advertised, it plays PS5 games remotely from anywhere with a solid internet connection. I recommend hard-lining your PS5 to get the best gameplay. My only complaint is the lack of Sony-branded accessories for the Portal. I had to purchase a third-party screen protector/case to bring my Portal on my travels.

Great concept, fun to use, and quality is top tier!

This device is absolutely amazing. It sends like the people that dislike it don’t know its purpose. I have a wife and young kids, so playing remotely is amazing for me. The screen is very large, and it’s nice having the dual sense controller as well. If you realize that this is a remote play device, and you understand that, you will love the PlayStation Portal.

The device itself is well-made and feels pretty premium. It’s also so much lighter than I expected, which is nice. However, you need a pretty darn good internet connection to make it work. I’ve used it on fast wifi and 5G+ hotspot while being away from my PS5, and it doesn’t work very well at all. It often disconnects or just lags terribly. The only time I’ve been able to make it work decent is when I’m at home and in the same room as the PS5 and on the same wifi. My internet is 400mbps for reference, and my PS5 is wired directly to the router. Only then will its performance be decent, but good luck playing any multiplayer games on it. There’s at least a 200ms lag even when the connection is at its best, and that is really hard to work with in a fast-paced multiplayer game that requires quick reactions. It’s really only been useful when my family wants to watch TV, but I want to play the PS5. Otherwise, it’s been a disappointment when I’m using it outside of the house.

Like many people, I was skeptical at first. After spending time with it for 3 weeks, I’m actually very impress with the Portal. The bootup is much quicker than the BackBone iOS Remote Play and I barely had any lag while my family were using the Internet. This is the perfect device to play JRPGs and casual games. I recommend it.

Great little handheld, if your on the fence about purchasing one I will say that I’ve had zero problems with the portal, I’m about to use it at work on slow days, COD is a little delayed because of so much going on, but playing superstar mode on madden, Carter on 2K it works flawless, also about to run GT7 smoothly as well, it feels great in your hand as well. Go get you one

I bought this for my son for his birthday and loved it. My 5 year old grandson plays with it too. This is a must have for the PS5 enthusiast!

The remote works but the wifi is faulty at times. Im not sure how to repair that on the item. When it works, it works well.

It is very high quality and cheap for what it has. you can play it from around the world and on the road. if it is laggy it means you need a stronger connection. So overall i would recommend buying this product.
