Worked great at first. But now it connects, disconnects, connects, disconnects, connects, disconnects, etc constantly. This happens about every 30-45 seconds. Nothing has changed in my household. Search online and you will see other people having similar issues. I did all the recommended troubleshooting but it is still happening. I have had the Portal less than 3 months.

Here’s the brutal truth about this device:
The battery life is pathetic, barely lasting 2 hours on mid to low settings.
Connecting to the PS5 is a slow and tedious process, taking at least a minute even with top-tier Wi-Fi 6E on a fiber network.
Connecting via home network or mobile is excruciatingly slow.
The screen looks decent, but it's just LED at 1080p 60Hz, not OLED as it might appear.
This device devours data, consuming about 10 gigs in just 2 hours.
There’s no way to lower the resolution to save mobile data when using a hotspot. Completely impractical.
It comes with ONLY a Type-C to Type-C cable. Almost no one has a Type-C power brick, so now I have to spend even more money on additional cables just to use the device after paying over $200 plus tax.
It’s bulky and not a lightweight handheld by any means.
Ergonomically, it’s a nightmare. You have to constantly adjust your grip to use the triggers.
All standard controller functions work the same as on the PS5, including vibration and adaptive triggers.
In summary, this device is a major disappointment. It’s essentially a paperweight unless you have a PS5 and a robust internet connection. For $200, I expected far better. The inclusion of only a Type-C to Type-C cable is infuriating. Unless you have money to waste, don’t bother with this product.

Love portal, very user friendly and great for on the go gaming! I know its a newer system, so i know there can only be improvements from here. But so far its pretty awesome

I like the way it looks big screen and all it just lags allot that’s the reason I give it a 3 star rating, now if it wouldn’t lag so much it would be a five star rating for sure!!

I like this thing. It does what it is supposed to do. No issues. I bought it so I was not running into the man cave to play. I definitely like using it.

Great device for playing your system while on the road. Only thing to remember is that the power must be on to your system at home. If it isn’t, it is a beautiful paperweight. Feel and screen clarity are amazing

So far so good. The first time was a little choppy, but as I continued to use it I had a better time. Would recommened if you have to share the TV with a partner for sure.

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!Although this is a pretty neat product the device it self was a pain to work with, i spent the first few days trying to Connect the device to my PS5 thinking it was my internet then i went to a friend's house and i still couldnt connect the portal to the PS5. It took 3 weeks just to link it with my PS5 after it being linked when playing games the system would lagg very bad up to a point where the device would just shut down, anthoer issue ive had with the portal was immediate stick drift and that was weird because its a brand new device. I was excited to try this new playstation equipment but honestly both portals i bought ened up being the same and sucked.

Ever get home and your significant other is using the TV while doomscrolling her phone and all you wanna do is level your material and catch moogles? But you can’t because the tv is in use! Look no further this controller has a screen in it and works fantastically with minimal latency for all your moogle minigame needs.
