Ok Earbuds

The transparency mode on them is very good as well. Where they lack in with noise cancellation. I’ve used earbuds that were half the cost that had better noise cancellation. Another not so great feature is the Sony app. It could be organized in a much simpler way to make the user experience easier. If they were priced lower I may have kept them but at their price point there are better options.

Seem to have a great hold without being uncomfortable. App enabled eqs which really made them pop but even out of the box sound was good.

Linkbuds fit more than just a active style earbuds

They have great sound where everything is clear and with music I can hear all the instruments and there’s no sacrifice in quality. The charging case is small so it’s easy to carry around if need be. The only reason this didn’t get 5 stars is that they don’t stay in my ears very well, especially during a workout. Been trying to figure out a way to get more of a secure feel but have been unsuccessful so far.

Poor compared to Link Bud S

Its not terrible, but at the price point, I'd expect more. Overall volume is great. Controls: this is absolutely unacceptable. Tap my earlobes? Only double/triple/quadruple taps work and theres no customization here. If you want to replay a song? Too bad. Double tap pauses. Triple tap skips forward. Quadruple+ increases volume. Ridiculous. Fitment: these are supposed to be open cell, but they feel like the buds are falling out. Constantly have to adjust them. Its not ideal in any circumstance. Call quality: worse than the Link Bud S by a long shot. Folks that i talked to were frustrated with me. ANC: This is the most frustrating part. It doesnt work. Your double taps do nothing. You need to keep manually switching via your phone app. Its beyond infuriating when it's obstructing a conversation and leaving it on adaptive is constantly beeping and muting your audio stream. Not terrible listening to a song but audiobooks are unbearable. This has been a terrible experience and a frustrating lesson. I really wish there was a successor to the Link Bud S. WM5s arent worthy. Neither are these. If youre on the fence, do no hesitate with the Link Bud S. It may only last less than 2 years so extend the warranty with the cash you save to replace the batteries. Still worth it. Such an All Star bud compared to the rest.

As for the Wide Area Tap function, which allows you to control the earbuds by tapping your earlobes, can indeed be challenging for some users. To address your concerns, you can customize the tap functions using the Sony | Sound Connect app. Here are the steps to disable or adjust the Wide Area Tap function:
Open the Sony | Sound Connect app.
Select the System tab.
Disable the Wide Area Tap function or adjust the settings to better suit your preferences.
