Assuming proper seal with assorted eartips — though I’d recommend foam tips — the SQ is great: tight bass, accurate vocals/mids, though it doesn’t have the most sparkly quality to it, sometimes sounding flat and uninspired, yet is still pleasing and never fatiguing. Speaking of that, these are the only earbuds I can use that don’t make my ears hurt after extended use. My ears never feel plugged with these on, even less than the AirPods Pro which have vents on them (these don’t). I attribute it to how light it is, which also adds to its portability. Noise cancelling is great, on par with AirPods Pro, and transparency is good enough to hear the world around you, albeit a little as if you’re hearing the world through a tin can. I’ve never had a problem with battery life, and find myself going a week without needing to charge the case. The only downside to these is connectivity, which sometimes drops withh dsee extreme on, and tap to function, which can be finicky and do things when I don’t want them to, and doesn’t pick up taps when I want it to. For the price though it’s more than forgivable.

powerful, but longevity concerns

Batter life was good enough to get me through half of a day at first. after 3 or so years, they have become quite finicky, straight up shutting off randomly or getting an early low battery warning, even though the app says 50+% remaining.

Great fit and great audio!

I tried so many ear buds but then eventually was very much satisfied with these LinkBuds S. The best thing about this earbuds is that once you put it in and twist a little bit, it hold into the ear opening just perfect for it to do its job. And as far as audio quality goes, Sony has never put me down! Strongly recommend for those who love good audio and a proper fit.

Noise cancelling performance can also vary depending on surrounding sounds, as the technology is most effective at reducing consistent ambient noise and may not eliminate all types of background sounds.
For Bluetooth connection dropouts, wireless earbuds can sometimes experience brief interruptions due to interference from other devices or obstacles between the earbuds and your phone. Without drawing this out too long, here is my conclusion: Best sound quality was Apple. Could also connect to anything. However apple’s ear tips have a fit that takes some getting used to. If you want an earbud with a traditional in ear tip, great sound, good bass, and don’t plan on using them with your TV, these are the best. Only complaint I have is that the ambient sound function cannot be turned off for calls, so you just have to hear background sounds during your call. That seems like a big oversight in design.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The sound quality is great, they are surprisingly comfortable even after extended periods of use, and the ambient sound feature works better than I expected. My biggest issue with them is the battery life. For me the battery lasts between 5 and 6 hours for each earbud before needing to recharge. The case holds about 20 hours worth of power for both earbuds. Despite this, they do charge fairly quickly allowing me to get about an hour of use after 10-15 minutes of charging. Another feature that is not included is wireless charging, requiring you to charge the case via USB-C cable. Overall, they are a very solid pair of earbuds.

What I like about these are the excellent ANC functionality, great sound quality, and comfort. They're leaps and bounds above the JBL's they replaced in these aspects. What I dislike is the shorter Bluetooth range and battery life compared to the JBL's. Sony claims up to 6 hours with the ANC on, but the best I've gotten from a full charge is about 4 hours. Bluetooth range is about 25% less and head position makes a big difference. I'm an auto technician by trade, and sometimes find myself contorted under a dash and these will often lose connectivity, even with my phone only a few feet away, whereas the JBL's never did. For most people, these will likely be just fine, but they're a bit lacking for me.

Nice Buds, Great Sound for the Price

Sound Quality is excellent. Wireless and Bluetooth are excellent and easy to connect. Battery Life is long lasting even using all the features. Durable and sweat resistant. Read some complaints about fit and using for workouts. I have had no issues, running, biking. Once you find the right buds the fit is perfect and natural feeling. Overall, a very nice product. Bought on sale so definitely worth the price. My only complaint would be the noise cancelling, its good but there is still some outside bleed thru, even after waiting for a few weeks and calibrating the noise cancelling feature, also be careful when adjusting buds in ear, the side buttons are very sensitive.

Very comfortable to wear all day. I tested the mic for phone calls and they great. They really rival Airpods pro for phone calls and that surprised me considering they're so small they basically disappear inside your ears. My only knock on these and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of wireless charging. How can a company design a premium earbud, charge $200 for them and not give you the option for wireless charging? It makes no sense. make a wireless charging case at the same price point and these would rank right up there with the best!

Noise canceling is amazing compared to the Raycons I used to own. A little more that a year without any problems but now they disconnect from time to time while being used, the Bluetooth will also connect even though the buds are in the case and now the left earbud dies in under 30 minutes

Great noise cancelling for the price.

Acceptable sound quality (You usually can't have both). A little fussy with Bluetooth connection but controls work consistently, almost a little too responsive. Put these on and you can still hear conversations but the room noise is drastically reduced. I am a little older and find these helpful to make voices more clear in heavy background noise almost I expect the way a hearing aid would. New user so not a lot of experience with battery life yet but so far very happy with them. Small and comfortable. These aren't going to be audiophile HiFi sound but most people using noise cancelling understand that is the downside of noise cancelling.

At full retail I'd expect wireless charging given that it is standard amongst competitors. Do have to charge the case a bit more often then I would like, but headphones themselves have amazing battery life even with ANC on. ANC is good, blocks most noise. Do note I mostly use these in an office environment or at home and almost never use them elsewhere. Ambient sound is pretty good when you're not having a conversation, but when you do it's an odd experience. Listening to music is a great experience, if you are listening to something that is not bass heavy. On sale they are a good value. At full retail, consider them, admire them, and hope they go on sale so you don't purchase them at full price. 4 Stars because I got them on sale, otherwise they are a solid 3. 3 because they are better then most, but most others (at the same price point) offer rival sound and are more feature rich.
