This is a good remote. It works as described. Out of the box, I had no issues. It is good to not have to rely solely on the PS3 controller.

I honestly bought this because I've become slightly lazy and obsessed with remotes. Lol. I got tired of using the PS3 controllers to control watching movies. It just started to feel old. I remembered that PlayStation makes the Universal remote for the system and viola! I made the purchase. Life after the controller is much better, feels much more "normal" and simplicity of use is great. Now it feels like all the other remotes. The only issue that I had was that while it allows you to access Redbox Instant with the remote, once the app opens up, you cannot control it with the remote. Weird. In which case I ended up back with the control. How disappointing. Not a deal breaker but disappointing. However, I can't blame that on PlayStation but rather the designer for the app who apparently didn't have me or my new remote in mind when playing "App God". Oh well, maybe it'll change with the update. In the meantime, all is still well in Remote Land.

No complaints, the remote works as advertised and easy to connect to the tv and PS3.
